Long ago in ancient China, two peacocks, one male, one female ruled over Gongmen City. They ruled wisely and brought great joy and happiness to the city by the invention of fireworks. But, their son, Lord Shen, saw a darker purpose in the fireworks than just entertaining the people of the city. What had brought colour and excitement could also bring darkness and destruction.
Shen's troubled parents consulted a fortune teller. She foretold that if Shen continued down his current path, he would be defeated by a warrior of black and white. Overhearing the prophesy, Shen set out to change his fate. But, what he did next sealed his fate.
He returned to his parents and in their faces he saw only horror. He was banished from the city forever. Shen swore revenge. Someday he would return and all of China would bow at his feet. Shen and his wolves left the city. A few years later Shen's wolves had nearly finished making their master's weapons.
When the Wolf Boss, a fierce one-eyed wolf, told Shen that the weapons were almost ready, but that they had run out of metal to complete the job; Shen told them to search all the villages nearby and as far as needed, to find more metal. Shen also mentioned that he was going to go abroad because he had heard that there was a lion cub with magical talents, that his name was Simba and he lived in America, "That cub means a lot to me," said Shen.
