It went from bad to worse

I tried out for three shows a day
At least
Which took up a lot of my time.
And eventually I was loosing money
and I had to pay the rent somehow
So guess what I did?
I got a job.
Can you guess what job?
A waitress.
Never in my life
Did I think
I would be a god damn waitress.
and let me tell you,
the people in New York
Don't tip at all.
We all got to make a living here folks.
Oh well,
Just another latte for me to spit on.
I hate here in New York.
Sometimes I think I should go back
To California...
Where the weather and the people
are nice and warm.
But then I remember my purpose
and how much it meant to me as a kid.
Then it doesn't make me feel so...
sad.
and it makes me nicer to customers
at my waitress job...
and it takes me back to being a child
Seeing Les Miserables and Annie
In the front row of the theater
With the comfy scarlet-red chairs
and buttery popcorn.
I wish I never grew up.
I'm like Peter Pan
No seriously, if you've ever met me
I'm exactly like I was as a kid.
childish and stupid.
I mean I went to college to be an actor
for God's sake.
I really hope everything
turns out the way I planned.
