The Dragon And The Lotus Flower

CHAPTER TWELVE

She opened her eyes and everything was a blur, people yelling something that she couldn't understand. Why we're they shouting, she wondered. She wondered where Ookurikara was. He was supposed to come back for her, if she wasn't where he left her he would get mad again.

She tried to get up. She couldn't move. She tried to say something but no words came out. Her throat was dry as she tasted something metallic in her mouth.

"She's going into shock!!!" Someone yelled as she hit something. Doors? They were taking her to somewhere bright. Everyone seemed to be busy with something.

"We're losing her! Quickly people!!!!"

She felt so tried for some reason and hoped that they wouldn't mind if she rested when they were so busy with something. She closed her eyes needing to sleep so she could see Ookurikara and do lots of fun things again. Next time she would sing his favorite song for him and tell him "I LOVE YOU."

Ookurikara turned suddenly as if someone called him, but no one was there and the rain was still falling harder than ever. He looked at the flames once more. It refused to die even in this flood.

A month passed after the incident at Cadieh's house. Her body was never found and Ookurikara was constantly getting into fights and brawls and being detained at the police station for unlawful behavior. His father would constantly pick him up at the station and would say nothing.

"You can go home Ookurikara. I need to go somewhere" Ookurikara's father said as he checked the time "Clean yourself up properly, I want you to meet someone. "

"What? Another marriage arrangement? Didn't I tell you months ago to stop with that? I'm sick and tired of the same stuck up women pops..."


"You might change your mind when you see this one Ookurikara" the older man simply replied 

"Come to the office after you've changed and cleaned yourself properly, she can't stay long because of her condition but she said she wanted to meet you as soon as she was able"

"Tch... what you couldn't find a healthy enough bitch?"

"Watch your tongue boy! You're lucky I don't put you in your place..." His father spat out at him for the first time in ages that Ookurikara was caught off guard.

The intercom buzzed interrupting the two in the back seat.

"Mr. Hikoshirō-san* we are at the house..."

"Clean yourself and come to the office. Don't make me tell you again, Kara."

And so the car left and Ookurikara was left outside their mansion irritated that he had no choice but to follow what his old man said.

The intercom came to life as James' voice crackled "Sir...if I may, wouldn't it have been better to have told him that she's alive and well rather than..."

Silence.

"This was her decision" Hikoshiro's voice was stern as ever "She didn't want him to see her the way she was..."

"I understand sir..." James turned off the intercom and drove to their destination.

I decided to call Ookurikara's father Hikoshirō after the swordsmith that made him :3
