What a funny word. Doctors are always coming up with all these funny names for diseases. For example, Stendhal Syndrom which is when you get so excited from looking at something beautiful that your heart beats abnormally fast, Blue Skin Disorder which makes you into a smurf, and lastly Elephantiasis which is grossly enlarged members of your body.
See, even though no diseases are fun, these are at least cool and interesting. My diseases only has one thing in common besides the obvious "they are both a disease". Rareness. My diseases will go unnamed considering that labeling me in general is not something I agree with but then to label me by a few diseases? Yeah. No.
My first disease has to do with my blood cells. They are extremely small and weirdly shaped. There is no cure. If I have it really badly ("alpha") then I won't make it past 20. 4 1/2 more years to live.
My second disease has to do with my spine. I don't know much on this one so I'll just say that it is really bad.
And on top of all that, I have a kidney infection which if this goes untreated, I will die. We found it really late and my doctor is "hesitant" on even giving me meds considering that we were so late in the game. So pretty much, he was trying to determine if he should waste medicine on me.
But besides all that, i'm happy as can be. If I die, at least i'll die happy. I'm 15 years old and I have to worry about my funeral. What a life I was given.
