You can never have enough oneshots of these volleyball dorks. (Also being honest, I'm an inconsistent updater. I update when I feel motivated... Sorry ;~;)
A/N: Okay this one shot is a little more angsty? Well it talks about something that I had thought about when I was talking to my best friend and it really bothered me for a little, so why not put it in a story or drabble? :D There is no really specified character in this one. Just needed to get this feeling out :c Also [R/N] stands for random name, now enough of my babble... enjoy (maybe?)
"[Y/N]? Are you okay?" you hear your best friend, [R/N], ask you ask you snap out of your daze.
You turn to them and give a small smile before continuing to walk besides them. Your friend simply continued telling the funny story they were talking about before. You replied with simple nods and "oh I see" as your mind started to wander again. The wind blew harshly against your skin, as you pulled your scarf a little higher to hide your face.
Earlier on you had seen a familiar group of former middle school friends. Back then, you guys had done everything with each other, but at the end of middle school, the group was split into separate pairs since you guys had all decided to go to different high schools. You ended up going to your new high school without any of them. Not only were you not able to go to the same school as them anymore, no one else in your middle school had also chosen the same high school.
On social media, you would see frequent updates of the group meeting up and having fun, but the thing was that they had never invited you to any of those events.
"I knew we didn't have much in common, but did I really not mean anything to you guys?" was what you thought when you saw the pictures of the fun times they had.
You told yourself to stop thinking so negatively and to worry about your high school life rather than the middle school life that had already passed. After high school had started, it was hard to make new friends, but it didn't take long before you met your high school best friend, [R/N]. They sat next to you during classes and quickly bonded over common interests.
Soon second year of high school came around, you only continued to make new friends as your memory of your old ones faded a little, but not completely. After all, some of the memories was what made who you were today.
"Hey [Y/N], you really don't look well. Are you sure you're not sick or anything?" [R/N] asked worriedly.
"I just have a lot on my mind and plate lately. Don't worry though, I'm not sick," you responded with a bright smile.
"I know! Let's go make some chocolate chip cookies or something at your house! It's Friday anyways, so let's just hang out," your best friend suggested.
"Sure, why not?" you giggled. Your best friend always seemed to know what to say or do to make you feel better. You both headed towards your house to relax from the stressful week.
I just hoped that maybe in your memories, I meant something to you even if it was just a little. Because you guys meant a lot to me...
A/N: Sorry if it was a little short, I just had to get it out of my system. *All this negativity begone!!! -poof-* But in all honesty, although they may not talk to you I guess you can be kind of grateful that they gave you precious memories. Also treasure the friends you have now and don't be afraid to open up to some people, because opening up can deepen friendships... okay this is pretty horrible advice, just don't little to my nonsense lol. >^<
