Chocolate Chip Cookies (Bokuto Kōtarō)

A/N: MWHAHAHA Bokuto with his hair down!!! *okay proceed to story now lol (~ '^')~ *

Today marked a very special day for you, it was your birthday. Just as you arrived at school, your friends gathered around to wish you a happy birthday and hand you presents. Before you had even reached the entrance of the school, your arms were filled with presents from your friends. You were currently a third-year at Fukurōdani High School and being the open person you are, you had gotten to know majority of the people in your grade. Not only did you have a lot of friends in your grade, but also quite a few in the second years and first years as well.

Once you got to your shoe locker, you set your presents down on the ground so you could open it to change your shoes. As you opened your locker, you saw a simple card sitting on top of your shoes. Being curious, you took the card and opened it to see what it said.

Dear [Y/N],

Happy birthday! I know you must be wondering who I am, but don't worry! You can find out by meeting up behind the gym after school ends. I'll be waiting there for you... I have something to tell you.

At the corner of the card was a small drawing of an owl. You giggled, having an idea to who was the one behind the card. You slipped the card into your bag before starting to put the present you received into the locker. Suddenly a very familiar person popped up besides you.

"Oya? Looks like someone is very popular~," Bokuto Kōtarō said as he looked at the stack of presents.

"Ah, Bokuto-kun. Good morning," you said with a smile as you finished putting the presents away.

Bokuto was quiet for a little looking intensely at your shoe locker. You looked at him once he didn't respond to you and tapped him lightly on the shoulder, "You okay? You looked like you zoned out."

"Yeah, I'm fine! It's nothing!" he quickly exclaimed with a flustered face. "I'll see you later [Y/N]-chan! I'm going to class!" he sputtered before running towards the direction of his classroom.

You looked in your bag at the card and chuckled a little. Could he be any less obvious? Being honest, you had already known that he liked you for a while and you liked him back, but you were too shy to tell him. Your friends kept on telling you to tell him, but you could never find the right time to tell him. However it looks like maybe you won't have to tell him first in the end.

You headed off to the same direction where Bokuto had run off to earlier. After all, both of you were in the same class, but seemed like he was too flustered to remember that.

~Le Time Skip~

School had finally ended and as the day went on, you ended up receiving more gifts from people. Now there was a huge pile of presents besides you. You sighed as you tried to pick them all up, but it was too heavy. You pondered for a little on what to do with the presents, but you suddenly remembered the card you had gotten from a certain someone.

Forgetting about the presents, you headed towards the gym, humming cheerfully along the way. Once you reached the behind the gym, you saw Bokuto walking back and forth mumbling some things. You decided to sneak up on him and poke him on both of his sides. He jumped and almost dropped a box that he was holding.

"[Y/N]-chan!" he gasped.

"Sup," you said with a bright smile. "So you were the one who wrote the card?" you asked playing innocent.

"Uh.. yeah," Bokuto said a little awkwardly as he scratched his chin from nervousness. 

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" you were somewhat enjoying the sight of the nervous boy. You wanted to just hug him right there, but you waited a little longer.

"Uh, so ever since the beginning of high school, I could never take my eyes off you. You were the thing I always thought about when I couldn't sleep. I really like you and happy birthday," he said flustered and handed you a box.

You opened the box to see chocolate chip cookies inside. Your eyes lit up and asked, "Did you make these?"

"Yeah..." he said as he scratched the back of his head. He was beyond the regular nervous and kept fiddling around with his hands in hope that the nervousness would just go away. 

Chocolate chip cookies were one of your favorite things of all time. You took a cookie out and bit into it. It wasn't bad but there was something definitely wrong with the cookies. You simply laughed and gave him a big hug.

"I love you also, Bokuto, but did you switch the sugar and the salt? Because these cookies are way too salty," you laughed.

"No way!" he gasped in shock. He took a cookie for himself and took a bite out of it only to spit it out. "So salty! Oh my god, I can't believed I screwed up this bad!!!" Bokuto said as he slowly seeped into his emo mode.

"Hey if it makes you feel better, some nights you were owl I thought about," you said. As soon as you finished saying that, you face turned completely red from saying something so corny.

"Oh my god, [Y/N]-chan, I love you so much!" Bokuto shouted immediately reviving from his emo mode and tackled you into a big huge.

Oh this will be a very interesting relationship alright.
