"He-llo my little fashion fledglings." A tall, camp man sang from the front of the room. "I am Mr. Wyte and I am going to be teaching you all about photography."

I smiled and settled in to my chair, Paperchase stationary poised at the ready. It was finally Monday and our first day of classes at our new school. Opal had been raving about this class all morning and had tried to deafen me when she found out who would be teaching us.

"RONAN WYTE?" She screeched. "RONAN WYTE?" I was almost scared to ask who the heck he was. "He's taken photos of anybody who is anybody. Holy cow, Marina."

"The upmost important thing about photography is lighting, because - well, isn't it obvious? If you can barely see what you're taking a picture of-"

"What's the point in taking it?" Opl whispered. Her eyes were shining in excitement.

"Now, I'm sure y'all don't want to be cooped up in a classroom all day so..." He lifted up a box of cameras. "We're going a little excursion to snap some shots. To the back yard!" Mr. Wyte cried.

After Photography, we had World Trend.

"...with a Mrs. Fenton. I don't have a clue who she is." Opal admitted on the way there.

"Oh!" Kayla exclaimed. "She's my mother's friend. She's nice."

"Not all our teachers are going to be celebrities." India sighed. "I like celebrities."

I laughed and patted India's shoulder. "You're just going to have to live with us peasants." I said with a dramatic sweep of my hand to my forehead.

India shook her head. "I suppose you'll have to do."

When we got to 'World Trends', who I assumed to be Mrs. Fenton was buzzing around the class.

"Hi there! Hi there. How are you? Hello! Hi there." Yet again, I knew I'd like my new teacher. I flopped in to a seat and got my stationary out yet again. Already I was tired! It was going to be a long day.

After World Trends and History with a boring, droning teacher under the name of Miss Adenbury, it was time for our lunch period. We all sat down around the table to catch up on our days. However, I couldn't help but notice the lack of food Macy had.

"I-is that..I mean...is that all you're having?" I stuttered, glancing at her coffee cup.

She shrugged. "I'm not hungry. I noticed the same lack of hunger at breakfast too - all she'd had to eat all day was a mug of tea and a cup of coffee. I glanced down at my own plate, filled with sandwiches and crisps and a KitKat for afters.

Maybe I shouldn't have gone all out with the egg mayo sandwiches, I told myself. Kayla also had little substance on her plate, a couple carrot sticks and some rocket.

I felt bad. Really bad. Bloated and confused and annoyed; was I eating too much or were they eating too little? Alice noticed the upset look on my face and squeezed my arm.

"Egg's good for you. Don't sweat about their lunch, yours is perfectly normal." She murmured as the others got in to a argument on whether the hot new teacher was taken or not.

"Thanks." I replied and turned back to the others.

"I saw a ring on his finger." India said.

"Decorative! He's single, and mine." Kayla shouted.

"Excuse me?" Macy growled. "He's mine."

"I saw him first."

"Nuh-uh you didn't."

"Uh-huh I did."

"Whoa, guys. Who're you on about?" I asked shyly.

"Mr. Flack." They both sighed dreamily.

"Kayla Flack has a nice ring to it."

"Ring being the operative word." Alice cut in gently. "He's probably taken, if not married and even so he's an adult. Leave him be."

Kayla flipped her hair. "He's like, 22. And hot. So no, I will not leave him be."
