Diane's POV
It was another ordinary day at the Boar Hat. And by ordinary I mean Ban and Meliodas getting drunk, Gowther reading a book, Merlin and Elizabeth gossiping and King...well, now that I think about it, I'm not too sure what King does.
I was sitting outside because I ran out of shrinking tablets so I was in my giant form. I hated being left out because of my size.
"Hey Diane!" I heard someone call. I turned my head to see King flying toward me with a small smile on his face. I wave back to the fairy, forcing a smile, hoping he wouldn't see how upset I was.
King's happy demeanor fell as he looked at my fake smile. "Diane what's wrong?" King asked with concern shown in his amber eyes.
"I just don't like being left out, that's all." I told the fairy king. King's face scrunched up, in the most adorable way, in confusion. "Oh Diane, you won't miss out on much in there. Besides, we can have our own fun on our own out here." King said excitedly.
I started smiling as I realized that what King was saying was right. I didn't need to be little to have fun.
"I have an idea, let's play tag!" King yelled happily. He had the happiest expression on his face, I just couldn't say no, even if tag was a bit childish. Then again, all we ever do was get drunk so I really have no room to talk.
Before I knew it, King tagged me and went flying through the air like a pro. "Come and get me Diane." King mocked as he flew by my face, only to fly away suddenly.
"Alright Diane, I'll make you a deal. If you can catch me, I'll grant you one wish, anything you please."
That phrase makes me stop in my tracks. It sounds so familiar and nostalgic. I shrug it off and run faster toward the flying boy.
After a bit, King starts to slow down, giving me an opportunity to jump and grab him in my hand, but I make sure not to crush the small boy.
"I win!" I yell happily. King begins to blush as he flies out of my grip. "That was fun, now you get one wish from yours truly." He tells me.
"I'll tell you when I think of my wish." I tell the sin with a wink, which worsened his blush. I just love flirting with King. He gets so flustered and it's fun to watch. But I truly do have feelings for him. He's so caring and protective and I love it. I just don't have the guts to tell him how I feel.
King and I continue walking around until we find a small village. Upon seeing the village, I get a massive headache that causes me to fall to the ground and grab my head. "King! Help me!" I call to the Sin of Sloth.
King turns around to see me in my fragile state. "Diane no!" He yells. My vision blurs as I slip into unconsciousness.
At first I can't see anything, my vision is dark and there was nothing. Then my vision faded into a flashback or a memory of some kind.
Flashback
I was young at the time. Around the same age as a 10 year old girl in giant years. I was wearing a worn brown dress that went above my knee and had only one strap.
I was running in a field chasing something, or someone more rather. I soon realized that I was chasing King! Why was I chasing him? How did I know him back then? I thought I was alone for all those years?
