This song isn't actually called 'I Walk Alone' The actual song is called 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' and it is by one of my favorite bands, Green Day. I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known

Ayato sat on a bench in a now silent park in the 20th ward, staring at the shining moon. He thought about it, his life before everything was changed, twisted and distorted into simple hatred and regret. He felt like he didn't have anyone before, after father was gone. Touka never seemed to be able to help his mood, no matter how hard she tried. Soon, he became practically possessed with fear and regret, driven by his rage. He wanted to become stronger, stronger than all the other ghouls. He didn't want to hide and watch from the sidelines anymore... He couldn't take much more of it. So, he joined Aogiri Tree.

Don't know where it goes, but it's home to me and I walk alone

By now, his anger had settled down, his anger was replaced with sorrow, regret... And most of all, fear. He was completely alone now, he didn't have anyone. His own sister despised him, to the very end. Touka had found the love in her life, and since then, Ayato completely erased himself from Touka's life. He swore to himself, he would never talk to her again. Never will he allow her to see his face, not even a glimpse. Why? He did this because of jealously. Touka had grown up and become to weak, yet she was still happier than him. How was that possible? He always thought the key to surviving happily, pain free, was to become powerful. Oh, how wrong he now knew he was... That's when he did it, he left Aogiri Tree for the best.

He stood up and walked around the seemingly dead city. He started up at the burnt building, the place where his sister loved so much, Anteiku. He looked around him, nobody was there, he walked alone. A majority of his life he did. He always felt alone... Ever since he left, father. To be honest, he always felt alone, like everyone around him was faking, wearing a mask to conceal their hate for him. The street lights flickered above him as his thoughts put him into a trance. He couldn't hear the footsteps walking up from behind him, didn't hear the sound of your (f/c) shoes dragging through the snow.

You hopped silently from roof to roof, and suddenly stopped. You hadn't been back to the 20th ward in several years, and didn't hear the news. You were shocked to see a pile of rubble an ashes taking place of what used to be a lively cafe. You fell to your knees and placed your hands over your mask. Tears rolled down your cheeks as you took out your phone and texted your boyfriend, Kaneki. You knew he worked at Anteiku, and you hadn't seen him in a while.

You: I see Anteiku has become a pile of rubble... Are you still alive? Are you ok?

Kaneki: I actually quit working at Anteiku a while ago... and I'm sorry to tell you this, but I'm breaking up with you... I love somebody else...

You: ...Oh... I see... do you mind me asking who?

Kaneki: Her name is Maya...

You: ...Oh... well I hope you two will be happy together

Kaneki: We will... Thanks

You felt a tear roll down your cheeks and under your mask. Your lips trembled lightly and you clenched your fists. You couldn't take it anymore, you sobbed and screamed, ripping off your mask. You laid there on a roof, staring up at the snow falling from above.

You felt a cold hand touch your back and a voice growl, "Hey are you going to just lay there and cry or what you idiot?" You looked up to see a man with dark blue-purple hair, a purple scarf, a black hoodie and jeans. You wiped away your tears and sniffled a bit before sitting up.

"W-Who are you?" you shivered and wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to keep warm. "Names Ayato. Ayato Kirishima. You?" he replied in a bored, monotone voice. "I-I'm (Y/N) (L/N)." "Oi, (Y/N) are you going to get the hell up or just sit there like a damn brat?" You looked at him with a sadness in your eyes, but he didn't seem to care one bit. You stood up and looked at him. "Tch. Well see ya (Y/N)." He said coldly before jumping off the roof of the building. He looked at him, slightly shocked, you shouted at him, "What the hell?!? You just come here to make me stand up and insult me?!?! Who the hell do you think you are?!?" He stopped for a minute, and looked back at you, smirking. "I'm Ayato Kirishima... Your black rabbit."
