Chapter 2

As I'm doing my work for algebra, I have this weird feeling that someone is staring at me (idk if you guys get that feeling but I do) I turn around and I see Alicia staring at me, ugh I hate when people stare at me, I turn around and keep doing my work. Halfway through the class I turn around again and I see her flirting with Oscar, at this point my blood is boiling, I'm so mad that with out thinking I snap at her.

"Alicia what are you doing flirting with MY boyfriend?!" I said out loud.

"Oh honey we both know that he wants me and not you, that he's just with you because he feels bad for you." She says standing up from her desk.

I look at Oscar to see if he will say something, but like I thought NOTHING came out of his mouth. At that moment I wanted to punch him and her but I decided not to do that because I would get in trouble.

"You know what? You can have him! You are doing me a favor with staying with him. And hopefully you too will be happy like me and him were once." I said and took my belongings and left as soon as the bell rang.

"ALLISON!" I heard Oscar yelled. I keep walking without looking back with a smile on my face. I get to my second period class with the biggest smile on my face.

"Why are you so happy? You didn't look like that this morning." Jessica says to me with a confused face.

"Because I just broke up with Oscar in front of everyone during first period." I said to her.

"What?!! Omg that's amazing. But do you really think that you finally did it? Like aren't you scare that he might come to your house later on today?" Jessica said and before I could answer the teacher interrupted us.

"Ms. Rodriguez and Ms. Valdez do you want to share with us what's so interesting that you too are not paying attention!" Mr.Adams our History teacher said we both shake our heads and he continued teaching the class.

It was lunch Time finally! I was walking to my locker to meet with Jessica so we can go to lunch. While I was getting close to my locker I noticed someone, and that someone wasn't Jessica, It was Oscar. He looks mad but I honestly don't care anymore.

"Can you move? I need to put this in my locker." I said as politely as possible.

"No! We need to talk." He said in a angry voice tone.

"We have nothing to talk to about Oscar. Didn't you want to be with Alicia instead of me? Now you have her go be with her." I said with a smile on my face.

" I don't want to be with her. I want to Allison. I need-" he was interrupted by Jessica.

" Are you ready Allison?" Jessica said with a smirk on her face.

"Yeah just let me put this in my locker and then we can go." I said looking at Oscar waiting for him to move out of the way. When he finally moved I put my books in my locker and when I started to close my locker Oscar said something.

"Allison, I love you." He said looking down. I turned around with tears in my eyes but blink right away to make them disappear. The truth was that he never had said that to me, we had almost 1 year dating and he had never said that.

"It's to late for that Oscar." I said looking at him.

"No, no it's not. Babe We can fix this. Can't you see that I finally said "I love you" to you, wasn't that what you wanted?" He said getting angry. I took a step back, because I didn't want him to hit me again. I was shaking my head and said:

"No we can't fix this anymore Oscar, and yes all I wanted from you was for you to tell me that you love me, but for you to say it from the heart and not the moment you realize that you lost me." I said walking away from him.

"NO! No, no, no I can't lose you Allison! I can't!" He yelled after I walked away. At that moment I was crying my eyes out and honestly I didn't know why I was crying, was it because he said that he loved me because he realized that he lost me? Or was it because I was happy that I was free of him, that he would hurt me emotionally anymore? I honestly don't know why but I just keep crying while walking to the cafeteria.

School was almost over and I couldn't be happier. It was 9th period and I have Spanish, and I didn't really do that much work since I'm Hispanic and of course I know Spanish I really didn't bother doing anything. Jessica is sitting next to me taking about what am I going to do for my 17th birthday.

"Al? Are you listening to me?!" Jessica said annoyed.

"I'm sorry, what you said?" I said finally looking at her for what it felt the first time since class started. She rolled her eyes and shakes her head.

"I said that what do you think if we rent a hotel room in the city and we will spend there a weekend?" She said looking super excited.

"That sounds fun, I'll ask my dad today when he comes home from work." I said with a smile on my face. She just nodded her head and started using her phone.

"You are coming over today right?" I asked her.

"Yes, I am. So make sure to let you mom know. She said setting her phone down.

"She already knows you are coming."I said looking at the time and realizing that there is only 2 minutes left of class.

As soon as the bell rang I went straight to my Locker to get my jacket, and I saw him again, and he looked really sad. I was walking faster with Jessica next to me. She keeps telling me not to stop and to try to forget him.

I got to my locker and took my jacket and waited for Jessica to finish getting her stuff. When we were ready to go we stared to walk towards the doors that leads us to the parking lot when Oscar stopped me.

"Allison I just want to tell you something." He said looking at me with sad eyes.

"Hurry up cause I have to get home." I told him and looked towards Jessica and saw that he was shaking her head.

" I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry, for everything that I ever did to you." He said his voice breaking at the end.

I looked at him and said "I also sorry." And with out letting him say something else I walked away.
