~ my brother, I'm still sorry~
Omg, this song is exactly like my life! And I don't know if you've noticed, butttt this book is like a written musical. And I cried writing this, listening to this song.

~Savannah POV~

Bic. My brother. Last time I saw him was when I introduced him to popcorn. Now look, he is seven, I get to see him! I sat, waiting outside, admiring the moon once again. This was just one day after I made a friend. My thoughts were interrupted, once again, by the sound of wheels against gravel. Bic was here. The car door opened and his small frame appeared.
He was wearing the blue polo shirt I had got him.

"Bic!"

"Sissy!" He started running to me, and I kneeled down, opening my arms.

"Bic, come here!" He wrapped his arms around me, but pulled away and shrunk back.

"No...don't-don't touch me!" I felt my heart break a little.

"Bic..."

"No! Y-you let me leave, I didn't want to! How could you! Why didn't you help me!" I took a step toward him.

"Bic I.."

"Don't get any closer! I hate you!" My heart smashed and he ran inside.

"Bic...what- I don't know what I did..."
I let the tears fall down my cheeks not bothering to wipe them away.

Bic.

"Once I was 7 years old
My momma told go
Make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely
Once I was 7 years old..."
Bic was standing at the screen door looking at me, but not saying anything.

"It was a big big world
But we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits
We won't learn them quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure
Once I was eleven years old
My daddy told me go
Get yourself a husband or you'll be lonely
Once I was eleven years old...
I always had that dream
Like my daddy before me
So I started writing songs
I started writing stories
Something about that story
just always seemed to bore me
Cause only I really love will every really know me
Once I was twenty years old
My story got told
Before the morning syn when life was lonely
Once I was twenty years old
I only see my goals
I don't believe in failure
Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major
I got my boys with me at least those in favor"
Bic opened the door and came outside.

"Once I was twenty years old
My story got told
I was writing about everything I saw before me
Once I was twenty years old!"
Bic sat on the bench watch me, and went over to him and kneeled down once again.

"Soon well be thirty years old
Our songs have sold
We've traveled around the world
And we're still rolling
Soon we'll thirty years old" a tear fell from his eye and I wiped it

"I'm still learning about life, my mother brought you for me
So I can sing you all my songs and I can you stories
Most of my boys are with me
Some are at I'll out seeking glory"

"Some I had to leave behind" he hugged me and began to cry.

"I forgive you, I forgive you!" He said.

"My brother, I'm still sorry..."

"I was wrong sissy, I didn't mean it, I love you!"

"Once I was seven years old, too." I knew that wasn't part of the song, but I wanted to say it him anyway.

"The world isn't cold, and and love you too..."

Ugh!!!! Feels!!! Glad I don't have them!
Time for questions!

1. What do you think Bic is upset about and Savannah is apologizing for?

2. What did you learn about Bic? Was he what you expected?

3. Did Savannah do the right thing?

Let me know in the comments below, my little rice balls!🍙🍘
