He never said anything, but he was smiling at her just like he used to. Seeing that smile returned to his face, her heart was filling with joy. She could never ask for anything else. Seemed like this day has brought them close enough, again. She smiled to herself, which made him curious and he asked.
"What is it?"
She shook her head and said smiling, "Nothing.."
"Alright then.." The both walked back home, under the beautiful, clear sky.
*At Akashi Mansion*
After everything the conversation earlier made her a little sad.
'Mibuchi-San mentioned about Seijuro's first love, he told him about her in high school. He did love Ishimori-San, no wonder I envied her so much.'
The day ended the night longed in, but she laid on the bed restless with her mind busy in deep thoughts, twisting and turning from side to side. Memories flashed in her mind,
~Flashback~
"Akashi-Kun!"
She called his name, running through the corridors of their middle school - Teiko Junior High School. It was their last day together in this school, it was the day they graduated. His heterochromatic eyes looked at her, as he stopped walking in the lonesome corridor. She came huffing and puffing looking for her loved one.
"Nozumi? What is it?"
"Akashi-Kun! There is something I want to say! Before.. Before we part away!"
"Go on, I'm listening."
"I.. I Love You Akashi-Kun... I've fallen for you... I -"
"What made you think that I would accept your feelings?"
"...Huh?"
"Don't you know I have Aiko already? Yet you dare to confess."
"I - I know that.."
"You really are pathetic."
"Then Akashi-Kun? What happened between us was-"
"Was nothing. I was just caught in the moment, I was just going with the flow. You should have known that men find for this vulnerable side in a woman & you exposed it yourself. Poor girl, I pity you.." He walked away.
