The Red Player Hunter

Chapter Three

It's been four months since this death game began. We've made it to floor 10. Unfortunately things are not going so well for me or my team. I have a bleeding affect going on, on my chest near my neck on the right side, my HP is in the red, and to top it off I've been trampled upon by a centaur. Jasmine and Kurisu took up defensive positions while I got out of the way to heal up a bit.

" Damn it! I guess this is as far as I can go with fists. Time to use a weapon. " Drawing my sword I prepared to attack. " Don't worry about this one! Take out the leader! "Kurisu yelled.
" use the new weapon before he blows that horn! " Jasmine spat." What! I can't use that here! " I said as I took the legs out of the centaur in front of me and giving it the finishing strike.
" What choice do you have Ronnan! Make an exception! Stop him from calling for reinforcements!" Jasmine spat, with an eerie look in her eye.

Dodging left from a possible direct hit, I slashed my way to a tree taking out two of the beast. I quickly climbed the tree close to the top. I then swapped my sword out for the new weapon. Materializing a bow, I grabbed hold of it and a quiver materialized on my back.

Taking aim I shot one arrow straight at the head of the chief. Unfortunately it hit him in his right shoulder. Taking aim again, I let another one go. This time it was in the chest.

'Damn it his HP isn't dropping fast enough!' I took aim once more aiming two centimeters above his head and slowing my breathing down to almost nothing. I released the arrow. I watched as it hit him between the eyes. It seemed like it was in slow motion, but his HP dropped significantly, and the chief staggered back a little. So I tried it again. After three more shots the chief shattered before he could call for more reinforcements.

It took us twenty minutes after that to finish up with the rest of them.
After all that, we leveled up two levels and received 3,500 XP and 1,500 col between the three of us.

We decided to head back to town as we were completely exhausted. When we reached the inn I went to my room to rest. It wasn't two minutes when their was a knock at the door. Even though I was in my underwear, I still took out a sword.
"It's open. " I said. Fortunately it was Kurisu, so I put my sword away. " Is there something you want? " I asked tiredly. " Yes, but first,..... put on some pants! " she said turning around as she covered her eyes. With a light sigh I put my pants on." Ok you can turn around now. "

" OK, it's about the battle earlier this afternoon. "Kurisu said turning back around. " Was it about the ambush? "I asked. " no...... not exactly. " she said fidgetingly. " Then what is it? " I asked folding my arms.
" It's about how you took out the chief. "

" Fuu, I see. What exactly did you see? "

" Well, what I saw.... was you sho .... "
Before she could finish Jasmine knocked on the door. Letting her in she made sure that no one was near by. " Now that we're all here. You can finish your question." I said as I sat in a chair.

" Ok, well I saw you shoot an arrow. " Kurisu said.

" Are you sure that's what you saw? "

" Y, yes. " she said.
At that moment Jasmine checked the door once again to make sure that no one was listening.
" Alright. What you're going to hear does not leave this room. Got it. " I said leaning back in the chair. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, I began with an intimidating look.

" You are correct Kurisu. I did indeed shoot an arrow. I've received the bow when we beat the second floor boss. The name of the item is <THE NINE BOWS OF ANUBIS. > I've kept it a secret from everyone including Jasmine. However, she found out that same day while I was checking my inventory and She saw the weapon. " I said.
