On a summer night,
In a field of tall grass,
It was windy,
And there were fireflies.
I was looking at the moon,
When he held my hand,
He said,
"I love you."
I hope it's not a lie.
He said,
"It's not."
And made a promise,
A vow that cannot be broken,
A lie that cannot be seen, heard, nor tasted.
I was fooled by him,
Cause on the day after tomorrow,
He was gone,
And I,

In the midst of darkness,
