Frisk was cold and hungry, they walked around the barren and desolate land, jumping over cracks from big to small. They had to be careful, the Earth was weak, damaged, and becoming hollow, so even stepping on a single crack could lead them to their death. They walked into a cave, hoping to use it for shelter, but as they walked deeper, they noticed something gleam from deeper inside the dark cave. Frisk blinked, then went towards the strange pink glow, once near, they saw that the glow was being caused by a single crystal, it could fit in the palm of their hand.
They slowly reached for it, it glowed more intensely, Frisk paused and pulled their hand back a bit. 'Wh-what if it's dangerous...!?' Frisk thought, but really, did it even matter? The earth was dying anyway, there was no hope left, they were going to die with this planet.
Frisk sighed hopelessly, and slowly reached their hand to touch the crystal, it glowed more brightly again, but this time they didn't pull back. Frisk softly grabbed the crystal, it glowed insanely bright, Frisk held onto the crystal tightly and braced themself for death. But it didn't come...
Slowly, Frisk raised their head and looked around, they were at some sort of old castle, there was a large symbol under them of a circle with six wings, there was a bunch of tiny cracks across the floor 'where am I..?' Frisk thought, they stood up and slowly walked towards a hallway, making sure not to step on any cracks.
Slowly, they started to hear what sounded like... 'Humming?' Frisk wondered. As they got closer they could piece together what song it was, they loved the song, Frisk's mother used to sing it to them to calm them down, before she... Frisk's heart began to ache.
Frisk slowly began to hum along "I'm a new soul ~ I came to this strange world ~ hoping I could learn a bit 'bout how to give and take ~ but since I came here, felt the joy and the fear, finding myself making every possible mistake ~" Frisk sang, feeling happier just be singing it. Suddenly, the humming stopped.
Frisk heard a strange voice, it was a bit deep, but friendly sounding.
"Knock knock." The voice said. Frisk blinked, 'a knock knock joke...?' Frisk thought, then responded "Who's there?" "Police" said the voice. "Police who?" Frisk said, confused. "Police come out wherever you are." The voice finished the awful joke. Frisk giggled 'ooh I get it! He used police instead of please!' Frisk smiled, and ran to where they heard the voice.they stopped once entering the room the owner of the voice was in, and stared at him. 'O-oh my god... I-is that a-a... Sk-sk-SKELETON!?!?' Frisk trembled a bit, staring at the skeleton. He had a gray hoodie on, dark blue shorts with lighter blue stripes down the sides of them, and blue slippers, there was a grin on the skeleton's face. The skeleton walked up to Frisk "cmon, don't you know how to greet a new pal?" The skeleton took one of his hands out of his pockets "take out your hand, and shake mine" he said calmly, he seemed friendly, but Frisk was skeptical.
But, not wanting to anger the skeleton, Frisk slowly lifted their own hand, and placed it in the skeleton's hand, then pulled away as they felt something gooey, Frisk looked at their hand. '...ketchup?' Frisk thought, confused. The skeleton chuckled "the old ketchup from in the hand trick, it always works."
The skeleton whipped his hand off on his pants, and so did Frisk. "Name's Sans, Sans the Skeleton." "Um, my name's Frisk" they introduced themselves. Then sans says "ah gee, you're human, aren't ya? Whelp, looks like I'm gunna have t' show you how things around here work, kid. Come with me" Sans held out his hand for Frisk to take, Frisk looked at sans suspiciously. Sans chuckled "Heh, don' worry, kiddo, no ketchup this time." sans rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
Frisk sighed then held Sans' hand. Sans then led Frisk through a few hall ways and stopped at a training dummy. "See this, kid? This, is a training dummy. Now, since you're human in all, monsters will wanna attack you. Why? 'Cos monsters have been taught to fear any human that ain't Chara. I, personally, kinda like humans. And, well, if what they say 'bout the earth is true, then, is it really ok to let a kid your age just die? I don' think so. so, um, practice talking your way outta a fight to this here training dummy. But whatever you do, don't kill anyone, ok? It ain't right." Sans explained.
Frisk nodded, Frisk would never hurt anyone, they just didn't have it in them. They walked up to the training dummy, and talked to it "so, uh... How has your day been going, Mr. Dummy?" Frisk said. Sans smiled warmly and playfully messed up Frisk's hair. "I'm proud of ya, kid." Sans said. Frisk smiled brightly at sans.
"Now lets get you into some new clothes, those rags of yours look like they've been through hell and back... Which, now that I think about it, they probably have." Sans picked up frisk and put them on his shoulders. "Off we go!" Sans said the started walking out of the abandoned castle. Frisk giggled happily.
