"Time for biology, Aph" Zane reminded me as soon as I closed my locker.
I sighed and pouted, facing him. He gave me a 'what-on-earth-are-you-doing' look and furrowed his eyebrows.
"What are you doing, Aphmau?" He asks, turning away while shrugging.
"I'm hungry...do you have any food left?" I asked, peering over his shoulder.
He chuckled and turned around, facing me.
"You're ridiculous" He stated,lifting his hand to push my face away. I flinched in disgust as he walked away.
"Zane, you meanie! Wait up!" I yelled running up to him.
As soon as we reached the room I instinctively looked for Katelyn, only to see her smiling figure.
I sighed in relief to see that she's back to her old self again. I sat down beside her and placed my books on top of my desk.
"Hey Katey!" I greeted, grinning. She looked at me and smiled back,waving.
"Hey Aph!" She replied. She turned to face me.
"Say, uh, Katelyn, why did you ran out so suddenly during lunchtime?" I asked, hesitantly.
She laughed nervously and then fixed her gaze to the door.
"Teacher Bravo is here!" She said, pointing to the door and sitting properly.
"Oh..um....okay" I replied, sitting properly as well.
Our class president, Emmalyn, gave us the signal to greet our teacher and we did so.
"You may sit" Teacher Bravo said, sitting down on her seat as well.
We all sat down and took out our books. I turned to the side and saw an empty chair, as always.
My seatmate barely goes to Biology. Even though he's failing this class, he doesn't have a care.
Guess who it is?
Well, it's pretty obvious that it's no other than Mr. I'm-too-cool-for-school, Laurence Ace Meteli.
When he does attend this class, all he does is annoy me and sleep. I'm always controlling myself to not strangle him and lead him to his death (although I want to do it very badly).
I looked to my right and saw the person who gives ne butterflies. The person who lights up my day. The love of my life, Aaron Parker. Katelyn is very lucky since she sits right next to him. I would do anything to sit beside him. Although if I did, I would just chicken out.
"Everybody turn their books to page 73, we're doing a project. I will pick your....." I didn't have to listen to what Teacher Bravo was going to say next since I was too distracted, daydreaming about my fantasies with Aaron.
Yes, I know I'm in Senior High, but that doesn't mean I'll stop daydreaming.
I finally turned my book to page 73 only to see a very complex project we're going to do. My right eye twitched in annoyance of the said project. I wonder if we're going to do it individually or...
"Aphie Maureen Phoenix, Katelyn Gadielle Dragofire and Aaron Parker please stand up." Teacher Bravo said, placing me out of my thoughts.
"Y-yes?" I stuttered, standing up.
She took a piece of crampled but usable paper from a big bowl and opened it. My eyes furrowed in confusion on what she's doing.
"Psst! Aph!" Katelyn, whispered. I turned my head to her as she mouthed the words;
'She's gonna choose our partners for the project'
Partner? We're gonna do this project by partner?!?!?!
I mentally jumped in joy since the chance of Aaron being my partner was high. I scanned the classroom to see that the people who haven't got partners yet are me, Katelyn and Aaron.
'This is it!!!" I thought to myself.
Teacher Bravo cleared her troat and squinted her eyes to read the name.
'Please be Aaron, please be Aaron, PLEASE BE AARON!!'
I mentally screamed, crossing my fingers.
"Aaron Parker and....
I shaked in excitement.
THIS IS IT
THIS IS IT
THIS IS-
"Aphie Maureen Phoenix....
"Yessss!!!" I screamed, fist-pumping the air.
Although I just got my hopes high.
