Sally’s P.O.V.

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face for the first time in twenty years. After I put the last dish up last night, I went straight to bed. Anyway, as soon as I get out of bed I start to get ready for the day. I take a quick shower, dry off, and put my hair in a French braid. That way when my hair dries, and I take it out of the braid, it will be curly. After my hair is done, I put on foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. After that I go to get my clothes. I put on a long purple shirt with a smiley face on it, black yoga leggings, and my black toms. “Morning Darcy!” I say happily. She looks up at me with a smile on her face.

“Good Morning Mum!” She says really happy.

“Ok, I may be new to this whole mom thing, but I know you’re not that happy to see me. What’s up?”

“Promise you won’t tell dad?”

“Uh, I would really like to stay on good ground with your father, so I don’t think I can make that promise.”

“I understand, it’s just I don’t want dad to freak when he finds out I have a boyfriend.”

“Aw, you have a boyfriend? That’s great Darcy! Now I understand why you don’t want your dad to know, but you’re going to have to tell him, you know that right?”

“Yeah, will you go with me to tell him?”

“Of course I will!”

“Thanks”

“So what’s his name? What’s he like? What does he look like?”

“Tony, he’s a year older than me, and he’s really cute. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a gorgeous smile. He’s so caring. He volunteers at the animal shelter. He loves kids. He makes me feel like I’m the only girl in the world. He’s a straight A student, taking a year off from college. He’s just perfect!” She says with a dreamy smile.

“Wow, he does sound great. But you forgot to mention a few things.”

“Which are?”

“How long have y’all been seeing each other? How did you meet?”

“Oh, we meet at the library. I went to get books for a class I had and he works there, so when I went up to the counter, we started talking and he asked me out. We’ve been together for about a month now.”

“Wow, and you’ve kept this from your father for this long?”

“Yeah, I was planning on telling him, but it just never came up. When you can to stay with us, I decided to tell you first and then him.”

“Just so you would have someone there to calm him down?”

“Yeah, I usually tell Jade first, and then have her here when I tell him. But the last time I told her she said that was the last time she was going to tell him with me. She said I needed to do it on my own.”

“Ah, I completely understand. I used to go through the same thing with my father. I would always tell my mom, and then my dad.”

“Speaking of them, am I ever going to get to meet them? Or anyone from your side of the family, that isn’t Jade and her family?”

“I don’t know, I haven’t seen any of them since I first went to jail. If you were to meet any of them, I think it would be my brother. Everyone else in the family seems to hate me.”

“That’s not true, I don’t hate you, and neither does dad, Jade, Niall, Bridget, or Danny.”

“I didn’t mean them, I meant everyone else in my family.”
