The Boy Next Door

Chapter One ~

We pulled in to a long driveway. We near a corner and arrived to my dads house. I haven't seen my dad since I was about 3. He called my mom and told her that he wanted to see me.

I thought this was odd because I have not seen my dad in 13 years. He left us when he found out that my mom was cheating on him with his best friend, well thats what I was told.

I always hated my mom for doing this. We had a family and she had to through it all away.

I don't remember my dad much, but I knew he was a good dad from pictures of him and me.

My mom snapped me out of my thoughts. " Will you be ok?" She looked at me with concern in her eyes.

" Yeah I'll be just fine." I say a little annoyed.

My dad called my mom and said that he wanted to "reunite" with me. To be honest I did not even know how they got a hold of each other.

" Ok Well if you need anything you have your phone. Just call or text me if something happens. Ok?"

I unbuckled my seat belt. " Ok well, are you coming in?"

" No I don't think your dad wants to see me." She said looking at the house.

It wasn't that bad. It was bigger than my mom's. It was light blue and a deck that wraps around the back.

I took in the surroundings. There was another house right next to my dad's. Tt was the same color and design. There was not alot of houses ob this street. Maybe four or five.

There was lots of trees, not like it was in the city. I wouldn't be able to see a single tree in till we were out of the city.

I turned back to my mom. I didn't realize she was talking in till I looked at her. " What?" She looked back a little annoyed. She took a deep breath. " I said, have a good summer. I love you."She gave me a hug and I got my suitcases out of the back seat.

" Bye mom, love you. " I waved to her while she was backing out of the drive way.

I took a deep breath and walk to the front door.

Hopefully my summer won't be that bad.
