Grew up together. There almost all siblings if you think about it. Spike is the oldest, then Lucy is the middle child while Arika was the youngest. They are not all related but they are all close. They say brother and sister because they do not realize that they were adopted. Spike starts to realize or kinda catch on later on in his rebellious stage of life but other than that Lucy overhears but doesn't understand and then Arika finds out thru the worst way possible. They all have there struggles but friendship may not be enough to pull them threw.
