Robot Renji x reader

Battle Time!

You sat up in the bleachers in the colosseum in the city.  It was fairly large and very well clean, might not be like that after the fight.  Secretly, you hoped Renji would get beat, you didn't deserve to be cast aside like that!  

You didn't realize you were crushing the popcorn until Dana had hit you with her paw, "If your gonna be so angry about Renji give me the popcorn so that we have some during the show," she grabbed it and sat down next to you.

You stared at her in a minor state of shock, true talking animals were not the weirdest thing here, but it was still surprising coming from an average human stand point.  

A bell rang out, loud and crisp causing the crowd to fall silent as a girl in a very flashy red dress came up to the center of the arena.  "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the robot fight club match," the crowd roared with energy as they anticipated the fight coming up, it was kind of sick really to listen to them.  "In each corner, we have two highly trained robots coming to fight."

You saw Renji sitting in a corner, some reason, watching his butt get kicked would make your day.  Then you noticed that he seemed more sluggish than before, was he doing ok?  NO!  Focus, you're supposed to be mad at him!  That's what you wanted to be.  You needed to be angry at him.  "Stop crushing our popcorn!" Dana smacks you and grabs the popcorn from you, "Renji's opponent looks tough, I can see all the weapons she has with her."

"What are you talking about?  It's just that stupid rabbit eared piece of junk that was with that darn Thomas."

"She may seem like that, but she has quite a bit of power under her.  That's how Minka came to find me, I got in a fight with that."  She gestured her tail which was bent a tiny bit funny like a broken branch, "She's fast and very deadly.  Do not underestimate her."

Your gut twinged a bit, Renji could truly be in serious trouble fighting that monster.  The two robots walked out into the center, "Let the battle begin!"  The fight then ensued.  Renji was much slower here than when he was training, he never went easy when it came to a fight ever.  True he managed to scrape her a little bit, but she was absolutely demolishing him.  

"Renji, why are you doing so horribly?  This isn't like you."  Could he be distracted?  Then you saw that he was grabbed in a headlock.  You could here the circuits in him starting to break from your seat.  "No!"  You leaped out and ran to him.  "Get your hands off my robot!"  You grabbed that pink rabbit by the ears and threw her off.  You checked over Renji's vitals quick and saw he was alive.

"(y/n), you're here," he was smiling softly, looked so happy too.

"Renji, don't you go anywhere on me ok?"  You saw that pink rabbit robot get back up, "Renji!"

"I'll take care of her alright."  Renji got up and seemed a bit limpish, there was no way he was going to win this fight.

"Renji," you hugged onto him tight, "don't do this, don't go fight her.  She'll demolish you."  You began to cry a little.

"(y/n), I'm doing this for you," he looked at you with those soft eyes that made your heart skip a beat, you hugged onto him tight.

"Renji, stay alive.  You mean to much to me to die in here."

"Believe me, I'll win," he jumped with you in his arms as the rabbit-bot swiped her sword down, narrowly missing.  He placed you down and quickly ran over to the robot threatening you.  His speed and attack had gone up dramatically and you saw how quickly he took her out.  He had her on the ground in half a second and shut her circuits down in three.  The crowd roared in applause and cheers as they enjoyed a fight with that much action.  

Thomas had walked over after that, "Good job Renji, I'm glad to have you on my team."

Renji backed off towards you, "You are no longer my master Thomas, I refuse to be under your care any longer.  (y/n) is my master now."  He helped you up, "I hope not to run into you again, robot ditcher.  You don't deserve the mechanic title you own, not after breaking me and leaving me to rot in a dump!"

"Oh so you remembered that, well that's no good now is it," you saw Thomas pull out a usb drive.  "Looks like we're back on square one."

The world flashed white for a minute and then you, Renji and Dana were all out of the city, away from Thomas and his plot to take Renji away.
