Before you read
Hi everyone! I'm so excited for you to read this story. I started it in 7th grade and left it unfinished for years. I'm now a junior and I rediscovered my account. I'll be updating as frequently as possible, I'm excited to see where this road takes us.I'd love to hear any feedback you have! Thanks for reading :)

Prologue
My mom's voice awakes me from an all too realistic dream.
"Tess! Wake up!" My mom whisper screams at me.
I blink my eyes. Is this still part of my dream? No. This is my real, stupid life. Great.
"What?" I moan. This isn't the first time my mom's woke me up like this.
"We have to go. The landlord just kicked us out." My mom explains even though she looks like she was expecting that to happen.
I look at the clock next to my bed. It's only 5:00 A.M.
"Why'd he kick us out?" This isn't the first time we've been kicked out of our place, my mom isn't exactly the best occupant to have. We've only been in Atlanta for a month but I guess it was just a matter of time.
"Well, uh... I haven't exactly been paying rent..."
There's a shock.
"Anyways, he said that we have til 11 this morning to be gone."
"What? You realize that only gives us a few hours, right?"
"I know, I know. But the point is, we have to leave. Now."
I guess moving isn't a big issue because I don't really have anything to pack. Move, Get Kicked Out, Leave: it's the rythym of my life.
You kinda get used to it after a while.
