Breaking the silence of water and allowing it to swallow you is one of the best feelings. The deafening water in your ears drowns out the noisy world. Diving into the water is like a wake up call, it makes you alert yet relaxed at the same time. As you are submerged under water you just feel weightless and like you could fly away from your troubles. Opening your eyes is like a whole new world! The sunlight beams down through the water and the surface looks like heaven, but I'm not done down under yet. Brushing against the sand at the bottom of a lake gives you the feeling of being one with the water, being a fish, like water is your natural habitat. You can leisurely swim and feel the water just glide past you, or you can race through it and break the surface, each time you paddle. You can swim with friends and just enjoy the wet fun, or you can swim alone and let your good thoughts consume you. You can swim in a clear pool or in an endless body of water. The possibilities are endless. But that fresh, first dive in that allows the water to envelope you and make you become one with it is one of the best feelings ever.
