I was walking home from that dreadfully embarrassing night and knew what would make this situation better: Chinese food. So I reached in my pants pocket to grab my phone. I took off my phone case and took my spare twenty dollars started walking towards Li's Noodles and Other Chinese Food which was apparently sold the best Chinese food. As a reached for the door handle a gust of wind blew my twenty straight out of my hand. I chased it all the way down the block until it was gone, I had lost it.
While I was thinking How could this day get any worse? Some luck started coming. A black silhouette soared past me with something fluttering in its beak. An eagle. His golden beak had a twenty clenched in it. But not any twenty, my twenty. The bird flew down to me and rested on my shoulder, he slouched over and set the twenty in my hand. "What's your name little guy?" I asked. "Caw!" He muttered seductively. "What? I can't understand you." I exclaimed. The eagle launched off my shoulder and stood right in front of me. Suddenly, he pooped, just pooped. He stuck his talon in his pile of shit and started writing. First he carved a C, then an H, and an R next. "Chr?" I uttered. But he wasn't done yet. An I was next and finally an S. "Chris! Your name is Chris!" I hollered. The birds head turned at me a slightly grinned. All I could think was this bird can understand me.
The birds jolted it's head and looked at me. "Caw!" He squawked. I look at him in confusion. "Caw!" He squawked a little bit louder. "I can't understand you Chris, I'm sorry."
The bird did the same process once more. He flew in front of me and took another large crap and spelled out. U-R-S-?. Urs? I thought to myself of what that could have meant. Urs. Urs. Urs. I repeated in my head. What could it possibly mean. The a lightbulb came. "Yours!" I blurted out. "Your asking me for my name!" I said in excitement. "Jaeli. It's pronounced like Kaylee but with a j instead of a k." The bird looked at me and grinned once more. I smiled back and decided I've have enough fun for one night and started walking home.
