Chapter 1

Ariah's POV

3 years later

I am in North Carolina living with my parents, I'm now 14 and have changed a whole lot about me, mainly my appearance because i didn't want people to treat me differently like they always did, instead i wanted to be independent and make me feel the way i want to.

It was currently 8 am and I was struggling to get out of bed, I groggily made my way into the bathroom locking it behind me. I looked at the smiling girl reflecting back at me, but I knew inside she was broken and fragile, as if she is lifeless. I take into consideration that mourning over the past and treating others like shit will only cause you trouble later in life.

I release my lavender hair from the bun it was in allowing it to fall to the mid of my back. I slowly pick up the brush and comb through it through before stripping myself to hop into the shower.

I thought about a lot of things in the shower, its basically my little thinking space where I'm all alone with my thoughts.I just thought about everyone and everything that has occurred to me in my life and then saving the best till last, My Best Friend Hayes Grier

We've known each other since the day I moved, basically speaking ever since i got here i noticed that we were neighbours. We would even go and hangout really often and have little 11 year old play dates, knowing then I had found my best friend. Then ever since we have been inseparable, were like glue, always by each others side.

I then carry on with my shower and hop out. I grab a towel and wrap it around my hair and grab my shower robe and walk into my room, since it was a bit cold i pulled out a blue sweater and black jeans with my black/white nikes.

As I was walking over to my bathroom I heard some one whisper something into my ear.

"Hey Bestie" i heard in a whispered tone

I jumped and tripped onto the ground making a large thud, i was scared so i stayed put. Light laughter was coming from across the room and i got up to see Hayes all dressed in his usual attire.

"Idiot you scared me, and how did you get in my window is locked?"i ask and smack him on the arm in a playful way

"I have my ways."He replies with a wink

Your probably wondering why I'm not at school, thats because i do online schooling, which is self explanatory. I don't to to regular school because i personally feel like I've drifted away from interacting with people my age and I almost used to never socialise, now its different I'm very open but i feel comfort doing school from my own bed.

Like why not?

I go and grab my laptop and go onto youtube, i upload one of my dance routines i choreographed a few weeks ago. Before you ask I'm a youtuber, i don't to makeup, or comedy but instead I express myself through an art called dance. I started this when i was 12 and its been a great success, I've made over 500,000 subscribers and I count be more grateful for everyone thats supported me.

Hayes is also famous, but his case is through vine, which is an app where you post 6 second videos, he and his brother Nash both became really recognised and one morning woke up with over hundreds of thousands of followers.

I still remember that day clearly

FLASHBACK

I was minding my own business and sleeping very cozily in my own bed when i heard tapping on my window, thinking it was rain i ignored it. A good 5 minutes have passed and it was getting louder so i decided to get up and see what it was, only opening to hayes leaning over his window and into mine.

"what took you so long?" Hayes asks

"well for one its a sunday and its 7am, what do you think?"i reply back with a small smile

"ok got that but guess what?" He whisper yells

"you got your period!" i joke around with him and pull him into my room

"no Ariah, you know the app Vine which Nash and I are on..." he asked waiting for an answer

"yeah what about it?" i asked confused

"well we woke up this morning and we had over thousands of followers and its going up very quickly! I'm so happy."He yelled and started jumping like a little kid on christmas

I too joined him and gave him a long hug telling him he did me proud.

I felt like a mom

END FLASHBACK

few hours later

"Hayes, do you wanna go to the mall? I'm bored." i ask facing the roof

"yeah, ill get my stuff, meet you outside in 10?" He asks while climbing into his room through the window

"YES SIR" i say back marching off, then hearing a slight snicker behind the glass frame

after mall trip

It was around 8pm now and we got back like an hour ago.

"thanks for the trip Haas." I tell him

"anything for my best friend, plus it was really fun." he says back wit a smile

"I'm going to bed now plus it night and i don't want to disturb my parents." I say shooing him out of my window into his

"bye, love you" he says in a friendship love way

"Love you too Night." I say back as i lock the window

"night" I hear before i go to bed
I honestly don't know what I would do without him, he basically saved me from going into a huge mental breakdown and made me feel belonged. He is the bestest friend ever.
