First Full Moon

Effie blinked confusedly with no clue of what happened. She sat up and found herself home. "Effie! Are you feeling okay, love?" her mother, Ms Hendrick, asked. Effie nodded glumly. "But I don't understand. There was this tall ghost with long claws and it - it - it made me rise in the air and struck me, then I felt all colour fade out of me! Mum, it tried to possess me!" she babbled. Ms Hendrick shook her head. "Effie, you're not okay. What is all this nonsense? I think you need a doctor, hold up" Ms Hendrick sighed. But when Effie turned sideways, she heard a horrifying shriek. "EFFIE! WHAT IS THAT ACROSS YOUR NECK?" shrieked Ms Hendrick in horror. Effie tried to take a look at her neck. She saw a red scar and a purple and blue hand-print across her neck. "WHAT HAPPENED? WHY IS THERE A HAND-PRINT ACROSS YOUR NECK?" she yelled. "I don't know! How am I supposed to know?" Effie yelled back. Then she silenced. "Full moon..." she whispered in fear. She looked out the window, and could see the full moon in the night sky. Effie's eyes turned red and grew long claws as long as the ghost. Effie's mother shrieked in horror and her eyes turned white from fear. Effie faced her mother and jumped on her. "Die!" Effie said darkly. The ghost was possessing Effie's body. Ms Hendrick screamed even louder. She struggled to kick her possessed daughter off her. Effie's mouth was slit, and there was blood on the floor from her slit mouth. Effie wrapped her fingers around her mother's neck, making Ms Hendrick struggle to breathe. Effie then rose her hand. " EFFIE, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!" the mother screamed horrifyingly. Effie laughed evilly. She scraped her mother in the arm until blood exploded out. Ms Hendrick screamed in pain. Effie scraped her much harder to quieten her. But Ms Hendrick only screamed louder. Effie had enough of it. "You are going to DIE!" she laughed darkly. She rose her hand again - and dug her claws deep into Ms Hendrick's throat. Ms Hendrick stopped moving and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She took a last breath. Effie had slit her mother's throat. Blood exploded out here and there from the throat. Then, Effie's eyes turned back to blue and her mouth was no longer slit - and she didn't have the claws anymore. She won control of her body again.

"AHHHHHH!!" there was a horrified scream from the depths of Effie. She had no idea she murdered her own mother - well, the Spirit of the Dead ghost, as the ghost possessed her. Effie's little sister, Charlotte, raced down the stairs and saw the lifeless body of her mother. Effie and the dead Ms Hendrick were in the kitchen. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MUM?" Charlotte shrieked in horror. Effie gulped. "I-It wasn't me! I found her dead!" she lied through her teeth. That was the first curse.
