- Come on, we have to get this damn potion ready before we go back to school! Sirius groaned, and shot a desperate glance at the cauldron in the corner of James' room, and then at the three other boys sitting in the hot damp of the potion. He stroke a hand through his sweat, black hair. They had been working with this potion for 5 weeks now, and it was just a couple of days left before they had to leave James house and head back to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which was not a bad thing at all. But the fact was that they could not possibly continue to brew the potion, which was illegal for underage wizards, in their Gryffindor common room! The four boys were best friends, and like other best friends, they told each other everything. But one of the boys, Remus, had kept a secret. A big secret. He was a werewolf, and neither Peter, Sirius nor James had known this before five weeks ago. Once a month for the past five years, Remus had made up stories about his dead aunts, ill mother, funerals, newborn cousins and so on. In real, he had been escorted to a secret house, and in this house, he could transform without hurting anyone. Because, being a werewolf included a painful transformation, and while he were in his werewolf-shape he was not able to control his own actions. Remus was terrified when they found out his secret. He was sure they were going to tell everyone, and exclude him as a friend. Surprisingly, they didn't. Tehy actually decided to do something brave and perhaps not very smart. They wanted to become animagi. And that's the reason why they were sitting in a 35 degrees hot bedroom, making a potion in the middle of the summer holiday.

- And Remus, you know, it's only 4 days until the next full moon. We want to be there with you then. James looked at his scarred friend, and Remus smiled back at him. They were trying to make an animagi potion, which allowed them to become animals at will. Animals could hold a werewolf with company, and even if they got bitten, they didn't become werewolves. The last boy in the room, a small rat-like, nervous one called Peter, looked up at Sirius.

– Are you sure that this is the right potion? You remember last time. You know, when we all managed to get neon colored hair? And the time when we got antlers on our heads? He asked nervously.

- Peter, you know that was only because our good old Sirius here managed to read on wrong page, twice, James laughed.

- I loved having neon-red hair! It made me look like a rock star! And besides, antlers can be useful, in some cases! Sirius pretended to be serious, and shot a stern look at James

- Ok, but this time, you're not going to end up with antlers and neon hair. The only thing we're missing before this potion is ready, is ashwinder egg, lacewing fly, Dittany, crocodile heart and the spell. Remus read from an old, second-hand book.

- Where are we getting all that stuff? Does your mother have a secret closet with ingredients, James? Sirius asked to the boy with messy, black hair and glasses.

- Leave it up to me. We'll meet here again in 30 minutes, James said while grabbing his transparent cloak and headed for the door.
