"Ann's home!!" Kirsti yelled as I walked through the door. That was my name. The Ann rang a bell. Analaya. I would tell the people back at "the place" but I kinda liked Red. That was my name in my other life. She runs up and gives me a hug. "I mithed you shoooo muchsh!!" She said. I realized that she was talking funny and saw that she had lost her two front teeth. " Oh my gosh, your teeth!! Where did they go?!?!" She looked at me and smiled. "The softball feild," she answers. "Turns out, you shouldn't stand behind the person swinging the bat, even if they are your crush." I laugh. Still the same old Kirsti wearing her chestnut brown heir in the same old pig-tails wearing her same old pink floral dress she loves. Same old everything. Nothing changed except I have a second life. "So how is college camp? Sucks that you have to be gone every other week. Means you can only go to high school every other week too." Mom says. I look at her confused, then realized that was the excuse they told her. I told her it was good and just changed the subject. We chat for a while. Then my phone rings. "Be right back, Mom. I have to take this." I walk out on the back porch and walk out to the old swing set of Kirsti's and sit on a swing.
Me- hello?
?- I'm coming to get you, I know you just got back, but this is mandatory. I'll bring you right back.
Me- who is this?
?- it's Cj.
Me- oh
Cj- be there in 5min bye.
I go back inside and tell Mom that I have to go back for something mandatory. I go in my room and grab my bag. I search through my drawers for some money for the subway. I look up and see a picture of me and dad. It was us a year before he disappeared. 12 years later and he's still not back. A goodbye would've been nice. I walk into the living room and hear a knock at the door. I walk to the door and say bye. Cj's standing on the porch. "I'd invite you in but you don't exactly look like a campus escort." I say. He smiles and says," I get that a lot. Shall we?" He says. "Let's go."
