Amber isn't normal. Oh did I mention that she 's obsessed with bananas? The Amber in my story is much more boring. All she can do is shoot fireballs out of her hands and stuff like that. Boring right? The evil School of Zale has different plans for...
Amber passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow. She vaguely remembered her dream: there was a person, and they were screaming for help. Amber reached out to help that person, but each time she lunged for their hand, the person got further and further away until the screams of the person.
Amber woke up sweaty and exhausted. When she first saw her, room, she was scared and wondering where she was.

OH yeah, she nearly forgot the past few days were rather chaotic, with her school being invaded, then her life being on the line several times, she was glad to be in the safety of this rural village; a shelter from the raging storm of life for a while.
After a few moments, she was ready and headed to the common area of their living quarter. The exterior depicted a simple humble cottage, but the interior was anything but that. It was lavish, and spacious, and provided the much need rest that some of the students needed.
Amber grabbed her bag, and used earth magic to heal some of the injured students before going outside. The outside world seemed fresh, and almost calm, bu Amber knew it was anything but that. Amber remember her father once told her: "The world is like a rosebush, beautiful, but deadly." She couldn't help but to laugh at how ironic that quote was in their position.
Amber walked to the nearest field, and started weeding out the well, weeds. The small spiky plants were surprisingly stubborn, and took a fair amount of strength to pull out.
I guess even the weeds have a desire to live
All of her life, Amber had been just average, and this life of danger was foreign and new to her. She wasn't used to the freezing cold nights, or the scorching hot days. She wasn't used to seeing the stars above at night. She wasn't used to waking up at weird times every day.
Stop it Amber, she commanded herself, get yourself under control!
Bending down, she continued tugging at the weeds to no avail. The weeds seemed to have a mind of its own. She glanced down at it: the plant seemed vaguely familiar. She thought back to when she had Horticulture or Plantology or whatever in her 4th and 5th year, since it was a required class to healing in the 6th and 7th year, Professor 12 showed the curious 4th and 5th years some of the most dangerous and the most helpful plants.
Amber exactly recalled that one moment when the professor held up two similar looking plants
"Here we have the Blue Deadnettle, and the Blue Haldi, which are both similar in size, color, and physical properties. The difference between them though, is that despite its name, the Blue Deadnettle is a great healing plant, while the Blue Haldi is a common plant that people put into poisons. The main way to tell them apart, is that the leaves of the Deadnettle are spiky and brittle, while the Haldi leaves are round and smooth. The leaves do not harm you unless you get the pulp into your circulation." Professor said
Actually, Amber remember sitting through this class thinking "When am I ever going to need to know the difference between two similar looking plants?" How ironic. Well now, apparently.
She looked closely at the plant; the leaves were spiny and dry; fitting the description of the deadnettle, but lacking the bluish hue to them- in fact, they seemed quite red. She put it into her bag, and decided to show it to Helen or Aruna for clarification later. She never noticed the weird pattern that had the symbol of Zale on it, and she also never noticed the sharp, merciless eyes watching her from the forest either.

Exhausted after a day of yanking weeds out of their mother's arms, Amber trudged to the village square. As she walked into the building that the students were staying in, a sudden hush fell over the students. They all looked at who was coming in. When they saw that it was Amber, they continued their happy chatter over dinner. After grabbing whatever they were eating from the rack nearby, she plopped herself down at the table where Eevie and some other girls were sitting at.
"So how was your day?" Asked Eevie with a grin on her face "You look drained, did the gods come down from above and steal your life force or something?"
"No," Amber replied, "But, the most tiring thing next to that did happen to me,"
"What? Was it a battle, or a wild creature attacking you or what Amber?" Eevie joked
"Nope," Amber said, trying not to laugh, "I got stuck on weed duty."
"Well, that must be tiring... wait what?!" Eevie exclaimed, "You got off that easily? I was stuck on sorting out Helen's personal library by the publisher! Do you know how many publishers there are in this world? I was running around in her gigantic library sorting the books like an idiot the whole day, and you get off with pulling WEEDS???!!!! It was like running the pacer test, but for the whole day!"
"At least you had Air Conditioning," Amber countered, "I got the searing heat of the sun all day."
"Point taken." Eevie said
After that, the other girls talked about their day: Aruna was painting Helen's exterior of her house, Akanksha was helping the blacksmiths, (which were all women) Anna and Sophie were both on gardening duty, and Tegan was in the invention center, helping the engineers(also all women) improve their designs for the irrigation system.
The boys though, they got some of the more boring jobs: cooking, cleaning, etc. The village life was fairly simple and easy going. For the first time in a long time, Amber actually felt safe.

When dinner was over, most of the students headed towards the living quarters, but Amber headed to Helen's cabin. On the way there, she saw a shadow cast over her, she spun around, but it was too late: she felt a tough hand cover her mouth, and someone put her in a body bind.
No one was around
And no one was there to see her get kidnapped but Zale Soldiers
