The Crimson sunset painted the sky, the city was calm and quiet now. Austin strides along the sidewalk, unaware of all the reality around her. She sighs loudly letting a cloud of mist escape her mouth. She suddenly stopped. An alley way lay In front of her, a dark figure seemed to see her and darted to the right. "Um, hello?" She calls confused. Obviously no answer was heard. Curiosity took the best of her as she made her way into the alley. She fiddled around with her phone for a moment before putting it away. She looked down the alley way that seemed to never end. 'Didn't that guy go down here?' She thought to herself. The moment she thought that she felt someone grab her arm and twist it behind her back, she was about to let out a plead for help but a hand covered her mouth. She let out a muffled scream.
"Shut up!" The stranger whispered harshly in her ear. She stopped, scared of being hurt she did what the stranger asked. "If I let go of you, will you run?" He asked. She shook her head as she trembled. The stranger let go of her, she yelps and spins around to face him. "Wait a minute, Colby? Is that you?" She asks as his voice was familiar. In the dim lights of the city she could see him slightly smile " Hey Austin", he said as he took off his hoodie. His black hair looked like a tuff of grass at the top and went back, his lightning blue eyes stunned her. "Colby!" She yells and wraps her arms around him. He smiles as he embraced her " I didn't know that was you, sorry about that" he apologized.
"It's fine, where were you?"
"I have to tell you later, but for now you need too head back home"
She hesitated for a little as he pulls away from her. "I just found you after 2 years, what's wr-" Colby grasped her arm and yanked her behind another alley way. "What the heck?"she says harshly as she stumbles. He signaled for her to be silent, she rolls her eyes. At least 10 minutes passed before Colby spoke again "go home, I'll see you soon. Bye Austin!" He says as he ran into another alley way. "Colby! Wait!" She calls then sighs, realizing how pointless it was for her to call him. She looks around her then started walking out of the alley way. The sunset was gone now, stars painted the sky. Austin grins at the view, she sighs happily. She walked home, thinking about Colby every step of the way.
