Chapter Four

  *Days later*

*Mary's P.O.V*

Mom and dad came home from the case and boy was Kaya ever happy to see them. She was like me when I was eight. I was in the living room texting Ryan. Soon mom came in.

"Who are you texting?" She asked me.

"Alex," I lied. She looks at me.

"I am a profiler Mary. I can tell you're lying to me," She says. I sighed. Dad came in and Kaya was up in her room.

"A couple days ago I asked Austin out to that dance, but he turned me down," I said.

"Okay let me get my gun," Dad says going for his gun, but mom stopped him. He looks at her and I smiled. They were so cute. I have to admit it somehow. "Fine go on." 

"Well I was so sad that I went onto an online dating and this guy started talking to me. He is really nice, and sweet and he lives in Virginia," I said. I went to his profile and showed mom his picture.
"Damn he's cute," Mom says. I smiled. 

"Hey, hey eyes on your own hubby," Dad says. I could hear the jealousy in his voice. She smiles.
"Don't get jealous Reiders," She says. "I love you more than anyone else in the world." He smiles and kisses her.

"Ew. I don't need to see that right now," I said shielding my eyes. Yes I still do this. They smiled.

"Be careful on the internet angel," mom says. I nodded.

"Henry told me the same thing," I said. She smiles. Mom was pretty cool. It was dad you have to be careful around. But if I or Kaya or dad were in dangered mom would go all beastmode on that bitch. I looked at the time. Soon I heard my phone beeped. It was Alex.

A:Hey wanna hang out?

M: Sure. Pick me up soon?

A: K GURLLLLL!

"Is that him?" Dad asked me. I shook my head.

"No Alex. She wants to hang out," I said.

"Okay, but be careful," Mom says. 

"I know!" I whined. She smiles. Soon I heard a horn. It was Alex. I grabbed my purse and sweater. "Bye mom, Bye dad see you later." 

"You leaving Mary?" Kaya asked by the stairs. 

"Yes, but I will be back later, I promise," I said. She nods and I run out.

*Lilly's P.O.V*

As soon as Mary runs out and Kaya goes upstairs, I had a worried look on my face.

"What's wrong?" Spencer asked me. I looked at him.

"How do you know there is something wrong?" I asked him. He smiles.

"I knew you for seven years now. I know your worried face," He says.

"It's just... As she was saying that, I get a bad vibe from this. I don't know if it's one of those mother insists, but-" I said.

"But nothing. I know I am worried about her too, but we have to let her grow up," Spencer says. I looked at him.

"I thought you would baby her until she's forty-five," I said.

"Hey. I got Kaya to do that now," He says. I laughed and he kissed me.

"I love you," I whispered into his lips as I let go of the kiss.

"I love you too. No matter what," He says. I smiled.

I am very excited, because this book will be short, but good. I swear!!!! And when this whole series ends don't cry because I might have another one out ASAP.
