I started writing poetry
at a very young age
I wrote to share my work with others
but as I grew that changed
now my work is something more
an image of my soul
that blood that pulses through my veins
an echo of my voice
now it's something personal
there are few I dare to share
but maybe someday when I'm gone
my poems will remain
