"Finding Peace"
You grew wings
Before we were ready
One day it was all over
Before anyone could stop you
In a moment
We were all changed forever.
I can find peace with you being gone
Trying daily to move on
I just can't find peace with how
I hear time will help
I'm still finding that within myself.
You still had so much to do
So much life before you
Kids to raise
Love to give and receive
Things to learn
One decision ended everything.
You left us far too soon
Couldn't see all the love we had for you
Your demons got in the way
All the pain
Blinded you from the light
That could have kept you alive.
