KRIIIIIIIIINNGG!!!
Vanessa opened her eyes blearily and directed her vision to the ringing alarm clock. Why the hell did you have to scream like that? Can't you just tap me on the shoulder? she scolded it mentally. The alarm clock stubbornly ringed and ringed. Vanessa slammed her hand on top of ot and climbed off the bed.
After taking her shower, she went downstairs to eat breakfast. "Good morning, honey!" her mom exclaimed warmly. "Hi, Mom." she replied without enthusiasm. It was Monday and Vanessa TOTALLY loathed Mondays. She slumped down on her chair beside her twin, Violet. After the whole morning routine, she went to school. As usual, she was walking down the hallway full of flirting 10th graders, kids spitballing each other, bullies taunting kids smaller than them. She walked to her locker, carefully avoiding Tabitha, Lizzie and their leader, Sheena a.k.a. The Queen of Evil. When Vaness was about to open her locker, her best friend, Lily, skipped next to her wearing a huge grin. "What's up with you?" Vanessa asked. "Louis smiled at me! He actually smiled at me!!!" Lily squealed. Oh, Lily... When will you look at your crush and not squeal with excitement? Vanessa thought, smiling at her bestie. "Look, it's the Poop Girl!!" a voice rang out. She whipped my head around so fast that she almost broke my neck. Just as she thought, Sheena was pointing and laughing at her. Everyone joined her and pointed too. Vanessa blushed with shame, grabbed Lily's hands and ran to the C.R.

Vanessa sniffled silently inside the cubicle. "Are you going to come out now?" Lily asked. Vanessa sniffed. "Maybe." There was a long silence. Vanessa peeked out. Lily was unconcious on the floor and there was shredded tissue paper everywhere. She immediately ran to Lily and checked her pulse. She is alive but she still not awake. Vanessa was worried that her best friend might be almost dead. She picked Lily up and carefully made her way to the clinic.
"What happened to her?" the nurse asked. Vanessa shook her head, holding back tears of guilt. If she had come out sooner, Lily would not be unconscious right now. She cursed her self for being weak and too concerned for herself. "I-i was in the cubicle a-and when I c-c-came out, sh-she was on th-the f-floor." she stuttered to the nurse. The nurse seemed to be suspicious but nodded. "Very well, you may now leave. This girl here needs to rest." she decided.

"The Sun is a medium-sized star. It is the our source of heat and it rays can be converted to electricity." Mr. Goodman droned to the class. Vanessa is still preoccupied with her thoughts when her teacher called her. She quuckly stood up and scanned the blackboard. "Um, the Sun's heat comes from the core." she said. Mr. Goodman sighed. "That is correct but I was just going to ask you to open the window." he explained. Vanessa looked sheepish. "Oh, right." She walked over to the window. As she was about to open it, a dark shadow passed and disappeared. She blinked twice then shook her head. Must be my eyes playing trucks on me. She shook her head once more and closed the window. After she sank back to her seat, the shadow appeared again under a tree in front of the school. Its glowing red eyes shimmering with malice. Then it disappeared with an evil laugh.
