I'm A Vampire

Chapter 2

Vanessa was walking home from school. Lily had recovered but wouldn't tell her best friend what happened. As Vanessa was walking down a dark alley, she heard something. She whipped around but saw nothing. Hmm. Queer. I wonder what it is. Then the hairs in her arms stood on end. It was as if someone was following her. She quickened her pace. The sensation still followed. A shadow flashed behind a pile of garbage. The shadow tackled Vanessa and pinned her to a wall. The shadow revealed itself to be a vampire with bright red eyes, long black hair and very pale skin. She hissed, showing her fangs and bit Vanessa's neck. Vanessa trashed but the vampire's grip was strong. She felt blood leave her body and everything went black

Vanessa woke up. She was still in the alley and her whole body hurt. She remembered everything that happened and put a hand on her neck. When she removed it, there were two red marks on her hand. She looked down at her hands and arms to find them turned from warm brown to snow white. She frantically searched for some kind of  mirror and found a piece of reflective plastic. She looked at her reflection. Her hair, once brown, was now pitch black. Her eyes were black too instead of green. She sobbed. How am I supposed to explain this to my mother?! What if they turn away from me? Am I going to kill people and drink their blood from now on?, she thought. She broke down into sobs again. Then she gathered her courage, stood up, wiped away her tears and started for home.

"Wait, so now you're a vampire and you're gonna suck blood every midnight. And turn into a bat. And control people. And-" Violet was interrupted by Vanessa.
"No, not everything you see in movies like Hotel Transylvania is real." she reprimanded. Violet sank down. Vanessa's parents seem to understand but they set up some rules.
Rule 1: You should not bite your family members
Rule 2: You should always be careful
Rule 3: Never tell that secret to anyone
Of course, Vanessa agreed.

Vanessa wore a black jacket to school. She covered up her whole body with lots of clothing. Lily met up with her and questioned her appearance immediately. "What's with that lot of clothing?" she asked. Vanessa shrugged. Lily continued to bombard her with questions until she pulled her into the bathroom and took off her jacket. At least, that silenced Lily. But the silence never lasted long whenever Lily is around. "What the heck happened to you?!" she shouted. Vanessa shushed her. "Could you be any louder?!". Lily playfully shook her head. Vanessa sighed. "Lily, I'm a vampire."
"Liar. Ya know, you're never good at lying, Vanessa" Vanessa rolled her eyes. She also showed Lily her fangs. Lily's eyes widened. "Are you going to kill me?!"
Vanessa smirked. "Maybe...ya know, you smell so good..." she took in a long sniff to emphasize that. Then, she leaned over and bared her fangs. Lily screamed. "Oh my freakin' God, my best friend's gonna kill me!!!" She braced herself for the pain...then heard laughing. She looked up to see Vanessa giggling. Lily pouted. Vanessa giggled a little more and said sorry. "Lily, you know that I won't kill my bestie. Besides, I don't think your blood's gonna taste good anyway." Lily rolled her eyes. "Ya know, you almost gave me a heart attack."
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry, but don't tell anyone about it."
Lily smiled, amused and still a bit nervous around her vampire friend. "Fine, promise.
