Prologue
A very small boy of ten wandered in the red dust, and sweltering heat of a city. He gazed around in blank confusion as people quite different from himself scurried about him, quite ignoring his presence. A fresh, throbbing wound raked down his face, the only thing in the world he could truly call his own. He was lost, hurt, and confused. He was Rusksen, and that was all he knew.
In a small, simple hut, hidden away in a dark tangled forest, lay another boy. Unlike the first, he knew who he was, he knew where he had come from. And he hated himself for it. Touski was his name, and death would be shed because of who he had become, and what he could do.
These two boys would meet, and they would both would perish.
