Neither Phoebe or I spoke, we just concentrated on the pounding of our paws against the ground. Our pain morphed into one but we kept convincing ourselves that its for the good of the pack. A good luna sacrifices herself for the pack. Our last moments as luna is the only time we were a good one.

We ran harder and faster when we heard the alarm sound, we didn't know if it was at our absense or because of some other problem. Our thoughts went to rogues, but they rarely travel with anyone but themselves and aren't foolish enough to attack a pack. We knew from all the howling around us that we had to leave the pack boundary as soon as we could.

Do you want to stop at the coffee shop? I ask Phoebe solemnly.

Are you sure its wise? She replies.

I hum, Maybe it isn't wise but it's the last time we are here and it means a lot, I mean it's where we met Riley and Jared... Wait maybe we can stay with Ryley?! That way... She cuts me off before I could continue.

...We could still make sure that Jared and the pack are safe without hurting them! And we could meet your real parents, and maybe the rest of your family. I laugh out loud at the thought but in wolf form it came out slightly devilish.

Its a plan. She takes I tight left turn, running towards the town. Lets hope he's here. I think more to myself than Phoebe but I know she heard and was thinking it too. With a bit of optimism in my head I take control of our body and we shift into a human. Ever since I first shifted I've wondered if werewolves are wolves that turn into humans or humans that turn into wolves, we just don't know that we are wolves until we reach 16 or whenever you shift.

I quickly look down checking that I was wearing clothes before waking through the last remaining trees, standing opposite the coffee shop. I smirk, stupid ass shop. A little bell rings as I open the door and walk inside, I scan the room searching for Riley, not seeing him I walk further in, attempting to look in all the nooks and crannys.

Phoebe huffs, use your nose, we are half wolf after all. I roll my eyes but do as she says, inhaling deeply through my nose I catch a faint scent that shouldn't have been there. Mine. WHEN DID OUR SCENT COME BACK?! She screams.

I don't know! I trip over myself trying to get back to the door. My heart was pounding in my chest, all I could hear was the erratic thumping of it. If our scent had come back before we left then they can track us here. I think more to myself but I know Phoebe heard. I couldn't get enough air into my lungs. Everything seemed to be in slow motion, I could feel my the pressure of my weight on my feet as they tried to propel me towards to door, the weakness in my knees from fear, I throw my hands out to grab a chair or a table for balance as I feel my vision start to blur. Don't you dare let us faint. And that's the last thing I remember.

I could hear people above me talking, or maybe there were shouting, I'm not quite sure. My head is pounding and my heart is thumping, I need to get out of here. With a grunt I open my eyes and push myself off of the floor, my head begins to spin where I moved to quickly but I have to leave. Hands from all directions come at me, steading me.

Phoebe, we need to get rid of our scent. Did you see anywhere we could make it on the way? It takes three days to make it so we will have to hide out for a while. Maybe a cave or something?

We need to get further away from here first , it will take him like an hour or two to realise its our scent and follow us here. I sigh and grab one of the hands pointed towards, i pull myself up now that my head stopped spinning and say a quick thank you.
