Chapter 1: The Crash

Blaze's P.O.V

Vulnerable. Lost. Alone. Afraid. Damaged. Have you ever wondered how it feels to be a mistake? A mistake no one wanted. My parents were cruel enough to tell me that no one would ever want me. And, I believed them.

It feels like literal hell when no one likes you. My parents don't even want me! I don't even get why I was born if no one in this world wants me. If they don't want me, who would? What's the point of living if you don't have one single friend?

I used to have a bestfriend. She was the best and worst thing that ever happend to me. We would spend all day together. We would have 3 day sleepovers! She was closest thing to a sister that I'd ever have. I remember the day everything changed, like it was yesterday.

*flashback

"Tag your it!" I yelled, a happy grin visible on my face.

"Ugh, why are you so good at this game?" Katy whined.

"I don't know." I answered back, climbing to the top of the playground.

"Should we play hide and seek?" I asked with a cheeky grin.

"Katy?" I asked, not hearing a reply from her the first time.

I slid down the slide, while looking for Katy. I screamed seeing Katy on the ground.

"KATY!" I yelped, running to her. She was sprawled out on the ground, her hair fanned out around her face like a halo. I tryed shaking her and yelling her name but, she wouldn't get up.

I ran inside her house to go find her parents. I looked into the living room, nothing. I ran into the kitchen and saw a note, picking it up It read "Gone Shopping, Be Back Soon! , love mum. " Not even thinking about what I was doing I picked up the phone and dialed 911. Not even 30 seconds later I heard the operator.

" 911, what's your emergency?" She spoke in a robotic voice.

"Hello, my friend's on the ground, and she's not waking up!" I yelped in my tiny voice.

"Ok." Her voice suddenly alive realizing I was a little kid. "Honey 911 is on their way, how old are you and your friend?"

"We're 7, and her name is Katy Williams. " I answered already sobbing.

"Ok, 911 will be there shortly. What's your name?"

"I'm Bianca Simmons." I answered trying to calm my heartbeat. Breathing in and out slowly, knowing everything would be alright, knowing I was lying.

*end of flashback*

The ambulance ride was a blur. I only remembered Katy being hooked up to machines and the paramedics saying she was going to be alright. I knew they were lying, I could see it in their eyes. But, I forced myself to believe them. When we had gotten to the hospital my mom was already there. She comforted me and hugged me, rubbing small circles on my back. Later that night Katy had died. Her heart had failed when, a bee had stung her. It's amazing how such a small thing had killed such a lovely person.
