*Robin's P.O.V*

I narrowed my eyes as I searched the dark room around me. Slade no where to be seen. - That fact alone had me terrified. There was a shift in the air beside me. I immediately spun around and threw a punch, only to hit air. I stumbled forward slightly, and my feet were kicked out from under me. Resulting in a yelp escaping my throat. I turned so I was lying on my back. I didn't make a move to get up, but my entire body was tense, frantically searching the darkness. I don't think I've ever been this scared before. I mean when my parents died, yes, when someone I knew was about to die, yes. But this time was an entirely different situation.
How had I even got into this mess?
After I had eaten, Me and Will had a really cool chat before Slade came. Then he lead me somewhere, but he had said something that seriously ticked me off resulting in me snapping at him. I took it a little too far, and all of a sudden the lights are off and I'm facing Slade in the dark.
Okay, so maybe I do know how I got into this mess, but still! It doesn't make me calm down or stop panicking any less!
I'm stuck in a dark room that I didn't even see properly with Slade who seems hellbent on teaching me some sort of lesson about getting angry too much or something. Did I mention he's stronger than Batman? Scarier as well.
"You shouldn't stay down in one place for so long Robin. You should know this." Slade lectured, sounding as if he was just above me. I immediately jumped up in an attempt to get away from him.
"And you shouldn't lecture me!" I snapped, flipping in another direction.
"It's my job as your mentor to teach you. If you do something wrong, you can expect a lecture. Or something far worse." Slade called. I jumped away from the direction I heard his voice. I gulped, but then scowled.
"Your not my mentor!"
"On the contrary. When you agreed to my deal, you were agreeing to become my apprentice. My protege, if you will. That makes me your mentor."
I narrowed my eyes dangerously, scanning the room for even the slightest sign of movement. The orange part of his mask would be the easiest to spot.
"That doesn't exactly make you my mentor. I agreed to go with you. That's all."
I spotted it. Movement in the space in front of me. His orange mask. If it wasn't for the fact that the mask was a bright color, I never would have noticed it. I lunged forward, putting all my strength into my attack. My fist connected with Slade's armour. I smirked in victory, and sent a kick to his side. There was a slight grunt in return.
I'm pretty sure that was the first time I had actually been able hit Slade. My victory was short lived, as my wrist was grabbed and twisted painfully, before it was used to push me to the ground, the same wrist being twisted behind my back. I sighed, knowing there was nothing I could do. He's always been able to stop me easily. If it was a Gotham villain, I could take them down. But I can never handle Slade for more than five minutes even when he's holding back.
"Giving up?" Slade asked.
"I can't even be bothered to count how many times you've done this." I sighed.
"It's a very effective way of stopping you." Slade mused. I scowled, but an idea began to form In my head, my scowl forming into a smirk.
"You know... You should never constantly use the same move over and over again. Never know, when someone finds a way to counter it!" I grinned, allowing my legs to give in slightly so I could kick him in the knee, and flip away. I smirked as I was released from his grip and I rolled on the floor. I pushed myself up and began running. I didn't know where I was going, or how close I was to a wall but I didn't care. I let out my cackle as I ran around.
I eventually began to slow down knowing the wall was close to me. My fingers touched a wall and I began running my hands along it as I used it for a guiding line.
Door... Door.... My feet were suddenly kicked from under me, a yelp escaping me. I hit the floor with a slight thud and a hand wrapped around my throat. My eyes widened as I clawed at the hand desperately trying to escape Slade's death grip. My feet were kicking in every direction, despite the fact Slade was above me and it was useless. I gasped for breath, fighting to stay conscious.
The lack of air finally reached me and I began to pass out, my movements becoming sluggish. I could feel the anger radiating from Slade in waves.
I think I learned my lesson. When he puts my hands behind my back, do NOT attempt to get free unless you want him to try to kill you.
My lungs were burning and my eyes were closing against my own will...
