Prologue

Hey! My name is Ricardo Garcia Jr, but everyone calls me Ricky. I am 16 years old. I am in a band with my best friends, emery and Liam. It's called Forever in Your Mind, and it's pretty popular.
I live in Texas. But not for long. Tomorrow, I am moving in with my auntie and uncle, who live in L.A. My mother thinks it is a good idea because there will be better chances of me getting gigs with my band, who are already living in LA. But the main reason why, is because I just got a part in a tv show on Disney channel, called best friends whenever. I'm really excited that I'm moving, but I'm going to miss my mom a lot.
I can't wait to meet new people!

Hi. I'm Chloe. Chloe lukasiak. I'm 16. I live in LA, well, I don't know I should say "live" because I'm not living in a house. No, not a house, but the streets. Beside a supermarket, in a box. If you haven't guessed already, I'm homeless, and it fucking sucks. But I try to be positive about it. I'm not a dull, negative kind of person. In fact, im pretty damn confident. Like if someone decided it would be nice for them to take a piss in my cup of change, ohohohohohh they would regret that pretty quickly. I need to act tough on the streets, or else people could take advantage of me, or hurt me. I probably wouldn't survive.
Im on my own, my parents kicked me out of the house when I was 10. They never wanted a girl, always a boy.
I'm surviving, though. Every day, I sing while playing my guitar, and people seem to think I'm good because I get a good amount of money. Well, enough to buy food.
Every night before I go to sleep with one thin blanket wrapped around me, I pray. I pray for a miracle.

This can't be my life for ever, can't it?
