Elle Disaster's POV
"I'm stuffed," I groaned out, walking alongside Hannah. My breakfast pizza was delicious and, like the mammoth I am, I ate the whole thing. Now we were on our way to Warped Tour, and my full stomach was making me tired despite my excitement.
"Same here, but I am so excited for this! We've been waiting for this for so long!" She said, beaming at me.
We were invited to interview at Warped by our good friends, Alan and Austin. When I first started tattooing, when Matty finally gave me the go ahead to work independently, Austin was the first person I ever tattooed. After his first appointment, he always came to the parlour to see how I was doing and we became really close friends over a few sessions. Then one day he brought Alan with him, and by this point Hannah had been working with me for about a month and we instantly clicked with each other. It was the small group of friends I'd wished for everyday of high school.
When I got the phone call from the tour managers, asking us if we would like to interview people that we had done ink for and just be a part of Warped Tour in general, I was ecstatic! I told Hannah as soon as I had hung up, and she had to take a break from her appointment to go and chill out. It meant so much to both of us, and we didn't even discuss the answer. We weren't going to pass it up-for anything.
We quickly crossed the road opposite the entrance and stood by it, waiting for the boys. The summer sun was contradicted by the cool breeze, and I shivered slightly.
"Hannah, can you see them?" I asked her, standing on my tiptoes to see if I could spot them.
"Nope. I was walking with you, then I turned to talk to Ben and they had just disappeared." She explained to me, her voice sounding slightly worried.
Suddenly, I heard my phone blasting out Proving Grounds by Attila, and I quickly answered it.
(Bold=Elle, italic=James)
"Hello?"
"Elle? It's James."
"Where are you? We're outside the venue. Did we lose you?"
"Sorry about that. We had to leave you, we would have gotten mauled if we'd gone through the crowds!"
"Where are you now then?"
"We're back in the bus right now, but we aren't going in for a while yet."
"Oh okay. We're gonna head in, we've got a schedule to go by. I'll see you later on yeah?"
"Course Elle. See ya later babe *gasp*."
"Bye babe *laughs*."I heard the line go dead, and withdrew it from my ear.
"So? What's going on?" Hannah enquired, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"They're at the bus. We'll see them later." I replied, a feeling of warmth in the pit of my stomach.
James had called me babe before in a friendly way, and we were just messing around. When he said it then though, it sounded serious; not serious in the sense of stern, serious in the sense that it was more than friendly. I shook it off, pushing it to the back of my mind until later. Right now, I had some interviews to do.
Hannah and I flashed our passes to the security guard, and entered Warped Tour.
