Chapter 8.

*Harry's POV*

20 minutes later we reached the hall in which the party was attended in.

We got out of the lemo and i held eva's hand in mine while getting in.

I still cant believe our mothers weren't kidding about her being my date. Why would they even want to do that?

I dont want it to be completely awkward between us. We're just friends and its staying this way.

I spotted my mum talking to rose near the bar and started walking towards them.

I tapped my mum's shoulder as a sign that i want to talk to her, she turned around to face me, smirking, "excuse us for a minute" mum said and rose nodded smiling and started talking to eva.

"Mum why are you trying to set me up with eva?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I know you've got your eyes on her and rose noticed too so why not?" She winked.

"Mum please stop this, eva and i are just friends and thats how i want it to be, she's the best friend i ever got and i dont want it to be awkward between us" i confessed.

"Alright. but you do like her, dont you?" She asked.

I blushed, "maybe just a little but that wont change anything, i dont want eva to be more than just my friend"

She sighed "do whatever makes you happy, honey"

I smiled "now you can get back to rose"

"Okay" she grinned, "try to enjoy honey"

"I will" i smiled.

*Eva's POV*

Harry came back after talking to his mum "ready to have fun?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows.

"Hell yeah!" I replied

He smiled "my idea of fun was eating so lets have some dinner first" he winked and walked away to the buffet table.

I rolled my eyes and walked to find a table to sit on.

5 minutes later harry came back with 2 plates filled with food and my eyes went wide at the sight, "oh my god harry! What is all this?"

He chuckled, "just a little bit of everything. Told you we're going to have lots of fun!"

I rolled my eyes and started munching on my food.

When we were done harry looked up to meet my eyes and smiled "care to share this dance with me?"

I smiled back, "ofcourse" i said, and with that he took my hand in his and walked to the dance floor where elder couples were already slow-dancing.

Even though we cant slow-dance to save our lives but, there we were, dancing in the middle of the dance floor in a business party.

Harry's arms wrapped securely around my waist and my arms around his neck, swaying to the music playing.

I felt eyes on me, i turned around and there were my mum and anne who looked at us with the biggest smiles to ever exist.

I couldn't care more about them or about anyone at the moment, the only thing that was on my mind was harry.

I had this weird tingly feeling in the pit of my stomach, I know it was probably wrong but i couldn't  seem to control it.

'We're just friends', i tried to tell myself, but the position we were in wasn't helping, how close he was to me, i could see how bright his emerald green eyes are, everything just wasn't helping my situation.

After what felt like hours we finally pulled away as the party was coming to an end.

We walked to where our mothers were, to leave.

"We're all taking the lemo" mum said grabbing her purse.

"Alrighty" harry grinned.

The party wasn't that boring after all.

When we reached home it was already 11:30.

The whole car ride anne was winking at harry who turned red every time for some unknown reason and it was totally awkward.

"So eva, care explain what was all that about?" She asked smirking.

I groaned, "that was nothing mum, he asked to dance as it was really boring and i agreed"

"Bullshit. How did you feel?" She asked.

I blushed "i had that weird, awkward tingly sensation in my stomach"

Her eyes widen "do you like him?"

"Hell no mum! No! Definitely not! We're nothing but friends, I dont see us as anything more" i said a bit annoyed.

"Whatever you say" she sighed.

"Iam going to bed. Night mum" i got up and kissed her cheek, "night honey" she said back before i run to my room.

I was getting ready for bed when my phone vibrated signalling i got a text.

Harry the great: had fun tonight, thank you! (:

Me: should be saying the same thing to you (:

Harry the great: its getting late. See you later eva! G'night. <3

Me: night harry. <3

And with that i switched off my phone and climbed to bed to finally get some sleep.
