Meeting Vik:
The bright neon sign that stood before you was slightly blinding, the words on it jumping out at you.
'Bowling Alley Now Open!'
You smiled slightly to yourself, bowling had been one of your favourite things to do with your mom before she passed away.
You'd even joined a club called the 'Champion Rippers'.
And the name champion was rightfully so, you'd even managed to win the local championship with your whole team by your side.
Upon entering the building, you noticed a guy in the corner eyeing all the trophies that hung proudly on the wall.
He smiled to himself, running his finger over one of the team names.
You slowly took a few good steps in his direction, taking in his whole presence.
He smelled of fresh linen, and axe, it was a nice mixture.
His posture told you that he was comfortable, calm and at ease.
For a few moments you were staring, not at the trophies on the wall but at him.
He didn't notice your staring, but he noticed your presence.
"Champion Rippers. Cool name right?"
Taken aback, your lips parted in a soft gasp.
"I've always wanted to be on a bowling team." He spoke as you inched forward.
"Yeah, it was a great team."
He nodded, reading the names out.
"Alexis Martin, Hope Sandoval, Dane Winchester, (Y/N)."
The next name he called was your moms.
Your expression changed, the corners of your mouth down turned.
He looked over, his expression changing too.
From cheerful to concerned.
"Are you okay?"
You nodded, clearing your throat.
"Mhm, yeah. That woman you just called the name of. That was my mom."
His eyes widened slightly, suddenly his arms were wrapping around you.
You collapsed into him, letting his warm embrace engulf you.
The soft sounds of people chattering, pins crashing down as balls hit them, and everything else seemed to fade away.
"I know I don't know you, but it felt like the right thing to do."
He drew back from the hug after a few moments.
You nodded, clearing your throat once more.
"I appreciate it..What was your name?"
His ears perked up, his eyes locking with yours.
"Vik Barn." He extended his hand out for you to shake.
You kindly took it replying with, "You already know my name, it's up there next to my moms."
He glanced over to the trophy, nodding.
"(Y/N)..Beautiful." The words left his mouth softly, like silk.
His teeth glistened in the dimly lit bowling alley, maybe you two could get better aquatinted.
"Did you want to bowl?" You questioned, gesturing towards the empty lane that was in front of you both.
He nodded, smiling again. But then again, when was he not smiling?
He seemed so full of joy, so happy.
"Yeah, I'll go get us some balls." He started off in the direction of the racks of bowling balls.
You sat down in front of the little electronic box that set up the games.
You entered his name first, then yours, adding a little smiley face at the end.
He set the balls down in a rack next to where you were both playing, glancing at you.
"Ready to start?" He looked up at the empty score board.
"Yes please, I'm ready to crush you with my skills."
You giggled softly, crossing your arms.
He took a ball taking it over to the lane, starting to swing.
You watched his form, eyeing as he swung the ball forward, releasing it.
It rolled for a few seconds before crashing into the pins.
A strike.
You pursed your lips, this was going to be a tough game.
