My boots crunched on the thin Blanket of snow and dried leaves, whatever snow falls will not last long in Greece, I could hear the birds singing which made this scene even more stunning, I was making my way towards the café I inherited from my late grandmother, Le Σελήνη named after the moon herself, it was a popular attraction for many people, High ceilings, the walls gave off an illuminating glow making it all so heavenly, everything including the tables, Chairs and benches were decorated with silver, it looked like god owned this very café, around the back, past two White flowing curtains was a library for people who wished to eat and drink alone out of site, we had several of these rooms that could be reserved, some days I sat in there myself after everyone had finished their shifts and not a stir of nose dared to creep it's way towards me.
As soon as I walked into the grand double doors I could smell the most delightful of smells, tea, I red haired girl wisped herself around the corner barley grazing the floor and Sprung herself my way, "saffron!" She yelled across the café like a war cry and bear hugged me in the tightest of hugs, " I haven't seen you in a long time!" Her green eyes sparking in amazement, " sorry my little warrior" I said as a scruffed her hair, she immediately smoothed her hair back down "where's agneta?" I asked as I inspected the silver cutlery, "she went down town to grab some more fruit and vegetables" the small girl replied, "well we better get this place set up and get some customers rolling in shall we Agafya?" The girl plastered a gorgeous smile on her lightly freckled face and dashed off into the kitchen, I strolled up the the open and closed sign and switched to to open, today is going to be a good day I thought to myself.

My shift felt like it lasted a millennium, while i was walking home I decided to take a different route so I could purposely pass the furniture shop so see if it was open, a gust of chilly air made me walk even faster remembering how warm and cosy it was in there, I neared the shop to see its lights were not on, I wiped the frost off the window and peered inside, it was empty, are you sure it's the right store I thought to myself, how could it already be empty? I felt a pang of sadness, my only friend outside work and school has gone, left without a trace, I made my way back home, dragging my feet, I felt a little embarrassed thinking that she would be there, maybe she just relocated her shop, it gave me a little snatch of hope, I checked the mail box to see more and more bills pilled up on top of each other, maybe I should ask mum for a small lone of money, hmmm I'll call her tomorrow morning, I made my way up stairs, by the end of the day I was exhausted, I almost completely forgot about the mirror, I whisked around to see it standing there, I gazed at it for a couple of seconds, it felt like it was drawing me in somehow, zooella pounced on me purring loudly into my ear, she was obviously starving so I grasped the last tin of cat food and scooped it into her bowl, she meowed her thank you and plunged into her dinner. The sun was already setting casting a beautiful sunset with an array of colours. Stumbling into my room I changed into my pyjamas, as soon as I laid my head down sleep claimed me. That night I dreamt of the mirror, it was glowing and gods and goddesses were calling out to me, as I drew nearer A loud sound drew me out of my slumber, I flung my eyes open to see I was directly infront of the grand mirror, I stumbled back and ran to my room, locking the door, but I sensed something in here with me, I breeze ruffled my hair, I slowly turned around to see a shadowy figure at my open window, I went to gasp but my heart was in my throat, I couldn't move, the figure drew closer towards me, shifting around the moonlight so he could not be seen, when he reached me, he tucked my hair behind my ear and whispered into my ear "come find me in the mirror of gods and goddesses when you are ready" the voice sounded masculine but sweet at the same time, I choked out a reply, " who are you?" But he was already gone, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. I climbed back into bed insure that I should go back to sleep, afraid that I might wake up inside the Mirror, but sleep claimed me once more and I dreamt of nothing that night.
