I am all over the news and not just in California. Everywhere. A huge search party is going on for me right now. I am not safe anywhere. And unfortunately there is a huge cash prize for the person who finds me, so that doesn't help. People don't care about finding me. They care about the money they will receive for finding me.  Jace said that it would be better if we just stayed here rather than move. So basically I can't leave this motel room.

Jace told me that my dad knows that both him and Jace were with me.

And Jason is coming back because of this.

"So what do you want to do?" Jace asks me. He is sitting directly across from me on the bed. I look at him and then around the motel room.

"Oh." He responds. "We could talk." he suggests.

"About what?"

He sighs. "I don't know, Arden. About something. Anything. I don't care. I just want you to talk to me."

"I talk to you all the time." I say.

"No, you don't. If you talk to me its about Jason, about how much you hate him or something like that. It is never because you actually want to have a conversation. If you like him like that tell me. Please. So I can somehow make myself not feel this way about you anymore."

"Jace," I say. " it is not like that. It is just I feel like I never know what to say around you. Not in a bad awkward way. I feel like I could sit in a room with you for hours and it wouldn't be awkward."

I jump slightly when I hear Jace's phone ring in his pocket.

"Jason," Jace says. "Hey."

"How is that even possible?" Jace says. "Okay okay. Be careful. We are leaving now." Jace hangs up the phone and quickly begins packing his few belongings.

"Arden, your stepdad is here. We have to go."

I don't need to be told twice. I grab all my belongings and shove them into my bag. I follow Jace out the door and we walk down the hallway. We take the old elevator to the lobby. Jace told me that Tim is literally in front of the motel. I start panicking.

Jace grabs my hand in attempt to calm me down, but it doesn't work. He guides me through the motel lobby until we find the backdoor. Jason is parked in his car right behind the building.

I don't think I have ever been so happy to see him.

My heart is still racing when I climb into the backseat of the car. Jason starts driving immediately and way over the speed limit may I add. I fall asleep to the rattling of the car with Tim and everything bad free from my mind.
