The world beyond

              The world beyond.

This day I shall ne'er forget,

The first one that taught me,

to be brave and to be a friend;

To the distressed ,when the horizon fades.

Just the silent skies and my vacant eyes,

Watched the stars as a delightful prize.

Wishing we were up there running around,

Rather than here in the clutches of the world, soul-bound.

I wondered what was beyond here,

The country way above our Mother Earth.

Held which pleasures and cries untold?

So long! It was way beyond my reach,

Spreading my hands I cried for it's dearth.

If another paradise existed there,

I shall be remembered greatly whence.

'Cause I've lived my life on this beautiful ground,

After living my past in those skies around.

It's that star, I wish to pray,

On my burning pyre, it shall stay

With me, it shall bless me hope,

To live my life again with the colours abroad.
