She looked out of her bedroom window, the sun peaked through the trees dancing as the breeze blew by, the birds were singing in beautiful choruses and the sky was lined with marshmallow clouds showing just enough to let you know that the blue sky was beneath.
I hate mornings.
Annabelle thought as she swiftly gathered her hair tying it into a messy bun, not caring for the sunny weather what-so-ever.
She walked over to her mirror a blank and empty expression lined her features just thinking about the strenuous day ahead.
Today is Monday, the day every teen dreaded for it was the start of the new school year, but Annabelle hated Mondays more than most.
For others Mondays would be another day of six gruelling hours writing, listening, memorising and groaning about unfinished assignments. Annabelle did not have to worry about such things however, it was the people that she hated.
Her peers would give her cold disgusted looks, insult her, degrade her, then there was the tripping, kicks, slaps, punches and shoves and the constant struggle to keep afloat in a place where people want to do nothing more than drown her.
Even the teachers wouldn't bat an eye at the sea of students wanting to pull her under.
She also hated the rest of the school week for the stupid pranks, physical and verbal bullying that would continue throughout the week.
I have to endure it.
She thought looking at herself once more in the mirror before leaving her bedroom.
Annabelle-after doing the usual morning routine- walked outside her house, a young man with chestnut coloured hair, toffee skin and coffee brown eyes walked out after her.
She walked towards her vintage mint bike grabbing her helmet placing it atop her head, fastening it.
"Ann are you sure you don't want to go by car today?" He looked at her cocking his head to the side a somewhat worried expression upon his features.
The small girl gave him a small smile "No, I'm okay Seb. I'm not a child I can go to school by myself."
"You sure look like one though." A playful smirk tugged at his sharp features.
She simply rolled her eyes and huffed out an annoyed sigh. "Just cause you're two years older than me and are 6'3 doesn't mean-" she cut herself off feeling stupid about making such a baseless arguement.
The playful 18 year olds smirk only grew "I'm sorry, what was that Ann?"
She turned away pouting "N-nevermind." Quickly getting on her bike and speeding away hearing her childhood friend yelling to 'keep safe' and 'eat properly' as she sped out the driveway.
What is he my mother?
She smiled shaking her head too busy with the thoughts in her head about the day ahead to realise the incoming car.
She looked to her left her eyes widening in surprise and fear, losing control her bike swivelled causing her to fall and land on her side.
Luckily the car stopped in time, a medium built boy walked out of the drivers side a scowl upon his striking features.
Annabelle was still on the ground rubbing her sore areas, when she heard a deep voice say "What the hell were you doing?!" She looked up to meet a pair of captivating blue eyes.
She immediately snapped back from her daze, "I-I'm sorry it was my fault for not looking." She gave him an apologetic look before picking herself off from the ground and climbing onto her bike, when she suddenly felt a sting on her arm.
