A.N: Yeah, I know it's been forever since I updated but I had shit to do.......... sort of
And please read the note at the end of this chapter cause it's very important.
Neko reluctantly agreed to accompany Pato & Kevin to that café that they went to yesterday. So there they were, waiting in a massive long queue just to order some food. But that didn't matter to them cause they're greedy gluttons.
"Wow, the line's huge" Pato obviously pointed out.
"Yeah, I knooooooooooww" Kevin said while jumping up and down impatiently. You could swear she was being tortured.
Kevin and Pato continued complaining about the queue, people and life while Neko kept looking around nervously. She would have joined in on the conversation but she was way too preoccupied for no reason. Well, to her it seemed like a good reason but not to normal people.
Oh God!! What if he's here again?? I can't deal with that!! Maybe I'll lie to the other two and say that I'm sick or have a headache or-
"Hey Neko, Did you see that the McTiernans moved out??" Kevin said, shaking Neko out of her thoughts.
"Huh?? What? Who? Where? When?" Neko stuttered.
"Moved. McTiernans. Somewhere. Yesterday." Pato replied.
"What??" Neko asked confused cause this conversation was going way too fast for her right now.
"Moved" Pato repeated
"But........ What do you...."
"The McTiernans moved yesterday!!!!!" Kevin screamed
"Oh, Oh yeah!! I saw" Neko finally understood.
"Yeah. So that means that we're getting new neighbours" Pato said
"That'll be weird" Kevin said
"How will that be weird??" Neko asked
"Hmmm??" Kevin asked
"Wait....what.... why are you-"
"Hey Neko, LOOK. It's your turn!!!" Pato pointed to the counter in front of them. Neko was so caught up in the others' stupidity that she didn't notice that the line in front of them had disappeared.
Neko turned around quickly. She braced herself for facing that Lukas guy again and many thoughts were spinning around in her head. She was shaking with fear and nervousness..... but when she opened her eyes she just saw some stranger behind the counter.
She was relieved. Just to make sure, she looked at their badge and it said "Ian". Neko literally breathed a sigh of relief. She started to calm down and could actually find her voice.
"Hey, um, could I have a......" she started.
"Hm? Oh no. Sorry. I can't take your order." Ian said
"Huh?? Why??"
"Cause my shift's over!!!! I'm outta here, Baby!! See ya!!!" He yelled at the whole café and everyone cheered. Don't ask me why. They just did.
"But...um..." Neko started
"What?? Oh yeah!! Your order!! Don't worry, someone else will take it for ya." Ian smiled "Hey Lukas!! Get your ass over here!!!" He yelled
"Ja, Ja, I heard you" Lukas said while walking over to take over from Ian.
"See ya!!!" Ian yelled again while leaving the café and everyone cheered again for no reason.
Neko was frozen again. She couldn't speak or even think for that matter
"Ok, so what do you want??" Lukas/Norway asked
"Ummmm"
"Well??"
"Uuuuummmmmm"
"Come on just pick something. I'm already going through enough stupid shit to be dealing with this right now"
"Huh?? What do you mean??" Neko asked nervously in a very high-pitched voice.
"My apartment just got shut down, so I don't have anywhere to live, OK!!!" He yelled angrily "I'm practically homeless and I've got nowhere to go cause I don't exactly have any close friends here and my bothers live too far away-"
"Did you say you have nowhere to go!!!!" Pato said way too excitedly.
"Umm, Ja" Norway replied not sure as to why Pato suddenly joined the conversation.
"Cause you're in luck!!! Our neighbours just moved out so there's a house for sale in our neighbourhood"
"Seriously??" Norway asked
"Yeah" Kevin joined in
Neko had enough. She was blushing so hard at the prospect of this guy living just across the street. She couldn't take it anymore and just covered her face with her shirt and walked out of the café.
She could still here her two friends giving the guy details about the neighbourhood, faintly in the distance.
