"I'm officially in love with this place- and we just arrived," Namjoon declared, as he wind down his window, enjoying the salty breeze that danced through his hair.

Yoongi and me sat silently at the backseat. I scooted closer to Yoongi and we both peered through his window. Smiles etched onto our faces as the sea view painted itself in front of us.

Light sticks and pubs were already beginning to cast their colours onto sandy roads. We passed by a few other pop out stands before entering a lane that led us to our hotel.

It was pleasant. Both rooms were side-by-side, mine and Yoongi's on the right. White sheets spread out on a queen sized bed. Two side tables were placed on each side. On the mini-kitchen table, packets of instant coffee and sugar were placed in a cup along with the creamer. We sighed in relief, seeing how calming the hotel room actually looks. We placed our luggages beside the television and hurried to the window to catch the view we were given.

"At least it isn't some wall," Yoongi chuckled.

I smiled widely, wondering how Phuket had such an effect on Yoongi since he was actually seeing the positive side of things.

"And we actually got a peek of the sea!" I exclaimed, pointing at the minute blue waves that crash beside the huge advertisement board that covered three-quarters of our window view.

"'Leave your husband here while you go shopping!' Now, that is what you call a win-win situation," Yoongi said, as he read the board, nodding his head.

I rolled my eyes, pulling myself away from window pane to unzip my luggage.

"We should just leave our stuff in the luggage. There's no point unpacking if we're gonna repack."

I took out my toiletries and then brought the luggage up onto oak benches. I turned around and saw Yoongi fall face first onto the bed.

"If I were with Namjoon, his things would already be all over the place. God bless you, Jimin," he mumbled against the pillow. "Can we just stay here and sleep? I'm already comfortable."

"Stop being such a stone. I already promised Namjoon we're heading out by 7."

"Hey, I was supposed to reborn as a stone. It's not my fault God made a mistake." Yoongi replied as I dismissed him.

We headed out eventually, after a few arguments on owning which side of the bed (I lost to Yoongi, sadly, getting the one nearest to the toilet). Closed bars and mini marts lined the street in front of us. We ventured around and took a couple of selfies here and there as we got closer to the beach.

Thai food instantly became our favourite after coming across one of the restaurants that was overlooking the beach. It was kind of embarrassing having Namjoon devouring his bowl of Tom Yam like a three-year-old but it was a splendid meal after all.

"Look, the girls are coming out," Namjoon stated, wiping away some sauce from his lips.

Yoongi and I faced the strip clubs opposite us and widened our eyes as we witnessed tall girls walking out with unimaginable voluptuous boobs that were only partially covered by vibrant feathers, pearls and diamonds. The serene atmosphere was totally converted.

"What the fuck just happened?" Yoongi half-whispered, as he leaned back onto his seat.

"I did some research the other day," Namjoon said, gulping down the remaining water in his glass. "This is when the party starts."

I took out my phone, secretly trying to text Taehyung and hoping the local sim card I bought works. Mid-way through a sentence, I lifted up my head, seeing both Yoongi and Namjoon already getting read to cross the road. I shoved my phone into my back pocket, scurrying towards them.

This not going to be good.

I looked around me as we passed through. Girls after girls surrounded the area. From bikinis to laces, all I could ever see was thick makeup and blinding red and blue lights. I faced down, not wanting my reddened cheeks to be their next victim. I glanced towards Yoongi and Namjoon, frowning at how much they were enjoying this.

My eyes ran over extremely sexual vulgarities on tank tops and metal poles. We need to go back.

We stopped in front of an underground club. Loud music was blasting through speakers and the smell of alcohol made the whole chilly atmosphere a little more tense.

"Oh my god! This- This here is the literal heart of my heart!"

"Wh- what do you even... Hey Yoongi, listen," Namjoon paused for awhile, placing his hand on Yoongi's chest, then, his finger to his earlobe, listening to the oh-so-familiar music. "What do you mean?!"

They laughed at the cliché moment while I looked away, not really amazed by Namjoon's corny reference.

Then I saw it.

The same butterfly tattoo Yoongi had was dirty-blonde's neck. And if you say it could be a random print at a tattoo shop, you're the one being ridiculous because it does not look like what any tattoo artist would come up with. It was too plain but somehow it gives such boldness, it was iconic. Then, the girl lost me without a trace.

Then I saw it again. It was beside the girl, carved into a marble pillar. I frowned and scanning through the area is and finding more butterfly symbols above ankles and on walls.

I looked back at Yoongi and Namjoon, seeing them stepping down the flight of steps.

"You just gonna stand there, Jimin?" Yoongi asked.

"I- Yeah. I am. Just gonna explore around here for awhile."

"Checking out the girls huh?"

"Uh.. Not so much but the atmosphere's pretty hype. Don't worry, I'll come back sober."

"You better be. Get ready to call a cab!" Namjoon grinned, earning a tug on his shirt from Yoongi.

"Hurry up! The show's starting!"

I bit my lip, witnessing them making a beeline towards the edge of the dim stage. Seeing them enjoying too much just gave out such a bad vibe.

I averted my eyes, following the butterfly symbols. Why are they here? From Korea all the way to Phuket.. Does Yoongi have any relation with Phuket? He told me he's never been here, so how is this happening?

I took out my phone and messaged Taehyung.

track me

I started my exploring, weaving through crowds and avoiding 'girls' who desperately caress me so that I'll take a selfie with them for 200฿ for each. Not sure if my wallet's okay with that.

There was a point of time when everything turned from blinding orange and red to deep plain blue and moss green. The people here were quieter. No girls with G-strings. No drunk men. Just normal people having fun and drinking.

I went into one of the bars, the one with the butterfly symbol carved into the open sign.

It was empty, a few wooden chairs here and there. The tables were decorated with black woven tablecloth and petite white flowers in glass cups. I stepped into it, cringing at how the floor creaked throughout the bar.

There was no alcohol in the air something completely opposite from where I was before. I roamed around, smiling at framed photos of random people with little hearts drawn under their faces with a sharpie. Must be the regulars.

After coming around the sixth frame, I took a sit, favouring the still air while still admiring the ambiance.

Then, a familiar voice called out.

"Jimin?"
