Yoongi [2 years ago]
"LISTEN TO ME TAEHYUNG!"
I pulled his shirt back, forcing him to meet with my eyes. "The consequences are too severe! You're going to ruin him!"
"How about you listen to me, Yoongi?! There's two endings to this, either he'll be free as a normal man with no such burdens and memories to carry, or we'll all die."
"And how's either of that good?!" I asked, growing exasperated with his ridiculous choices and theories by the second.
"I'm never going to let my friend die for the sake of us— for the sake of myself. There is no way I'll ever forgive myself for not trying to find a solution."
"And if we all die?"
"Then no one will ever be hunted down again. This is our sacrifice, Yoongi. Our sacrifice to save Morph."
I let go of my grip slowly, looking away. There's too many things to done, too many risks and so little time. For a moment, I worried at my lips, not knowing what to say. Maybe this is our fate. Why are even fighting to stay alive?
The blue hues were fragmented in his irises. If you analysed them, you'd see reoccurring patterns, like electrons at valency. I brushed a limp strand away from his forehead, wishing the best for both of us. His eyes flickered in minute movements, almost unnoticeable, and concentrated at the cerulean screen in front of him, almost like he's reading the blank area.
I pursed my lips as I felt my hands burning to touch his skin. Grimacing, I took a ginger step back, still keeping my eyes on his upright body.
"How long has he been standing? Won't he fall?" I queried, turning my head back slightly to look at Taehyung, who was busy rearranging a few files.
"42 hours. We have about 13 minutes before all data is protected. Then, we can start with unmarking him. And he won't fall. He's actually flying or floating or whatever at wherever he is."
My eyes widened. "You mean his mind's in another place?"
"Not his mind, dumbass," Taehyung rolled his eyes. "His *rhopalocera-self. He's in another realm."
"How do you know that?"
"Do you think this is our first time doing this? He never told me before. All he ever said was that his body was floating in total darkness. After 5 hours, he said it felt like a two seconds. So, I don't really know."
I sighed tiredly, leaning my back against the white tiles behind me. "I just really hope this turns out well. His safety is priority."
"And you think I don't know that?" Taehyung snapped.
Taehyung bundled all his multi-coloured files and sloppily-drawn blueprints into a tall stack before dumping them into a large black garbage bag. I raised my eyebrows but didn't say anything as he cleared off a few other things.
"Hoseok doesn't know about this, right?"
"Nope. It's only between us. Him and the rest are at Hideout. But they know they can't hide forever. Once Dycat has all of the Doors destroyed, the only way to live is to wait for your death."
He pulled out his rolling chair and took a seat beside Jimin's stoned body.
"So, what now? What do we say to him?"
"We tell him Jimin's going to get himself undercover and orders everyone to rely on the Doors as much as they can. It's the only way now."
I watched as he wiped Jimin's wrist with an alcohol rub, sanitising it. He took a glance at his watch, before getting his syringe ready.
"Did he know of your plans?"
"Yup, but I told him the plan wasn't ongoing anymore, so he wouldn't have guessed it."
"He'll be missing Jimin, then."
"We'll all be, Yoongi, but it's for the best."
I settled my eyes upon Jimin once again before Taehyung ushered me to stroll in the stretcher and place it behind him. We both stared at the timer. 5 seconds left before total transfer's complete.
5.
Taehyung positioned himself at the side of the stretcher, his thumb ready to push in the platinum white emulsion.
4.
I took a deep breath in. Getting ready to pull him up into the stretcher and placing my hands firmly on his sides, ever so lightly clutching the fibrous material.
3.
This is it. A new beginning.
2.
I will find you. I promise.
1.
I love you, Jimin.

Fanfiction"Jimin, you weren't the only one on undercover. Can't believe you were that unobservant. For an agent of Dycat, that's pretty low... Unless you aren't one of us, well, then that's a whole different story, don't you agree?"
