Everyone's fate was between my very own hands .The message was clear , The Dark Spore was what Lucius was so desperately seeking.His ignorance of my incapability to give him whatever powers I hold was killing me.He wouldn't believe it if I just told him that no one can acquire anyone's powers...
The question remained : what did this old lady mean ?

I spent days and nights trying to figure it out ... All my tentatives unfortunately happened to fail ...
The clock was ticking , time was running past us.It was time to act.Once and for all ...

On a full moon we had a walk in the deserted headquarters' garden...

-I really want to believe it Selena ... But it's just too much to bare ! One day I'm a regular teenager , the second day I discover I'm supposed to be some kind of magician ! Come on how do you even expect me to hold on ?
- I know how you feel ... I lost my mother when I was just a mere baby...I never got to see her , she never got to wake me to school every morning , tie my hair and get me a bite to eat.I was lonelier than you can ever imagine Derek.I act strong ... But deep down ... I'm just not..."
she replied with a tear shedding from her pure blue eyes.
- "I was apparently mistaken ... I thought for one second that this world would be perfect with supernatural powers...I had pictured it like a green nature , blooming roses , softly spilling waterfalls...But everything I thought of just isn't the way I had imagined...
- Wait ... ! What did you say about the nature?
-You mean the roses?
-No ... after that ...
-Oh you're probably talking about the waterfalls !
-Waterfalls ... "
She stares at the wild for a minute , looks around her saying :
" The agonizing truth hidden behind the concealing lie ... " in a small voice.She suddenly shouts :
" - Oh God ! I know where we should go !
-Really?Where is that?
-Follow me ... I'll tell you everything on the way ... "
We immediatly left the headquarters towards I don't know where.On our way , Selena told me everything :
" - When I was younger , I remember my Dad telling me about The Myth Of The Legendary Waterfalls.Those particular nature's miracles were believed to hold incredible powers : They could actually show the one that evocates them any answer he would need.But only after passing a test... A very specific test ...
When you reach the waterfalls and go through them , it is said that all your fears come to life ... It's intended to prove the purity of your soul.If you happen to overcome your darkest fears , they give you the answer you seek ... But if you don't ... You get trapped behind the waterfalls for eternity ... Do you think you can take that risk ?
-She's my mother ... I would do whatever it takes to save her life.I will kill if I have too.I'd do anything for her to be safe...
-Then I hope you are well prepared...
-Why ? Are we there yet ?
-To be honest , I don't even know the waterfall's location ...
-Oh great ! How are we supposed to head towards a destination we don't even know how to reach ...
-The Clearing of Light is where we have to go.It's probably the only place in Mages Hollow that the Shadows cannot reach.It is even more powerful than the Alliance's powers ... The thing is it can't fight , it can only defend against the Dark Forces..."
We continued walking deep through Mages Hollow's dead nature ... We were determined to save everyone as soon as possible ... We had a problem though ... How was I supposed to give up my powers for the Shadow Master's sake if it was impossible to do?Carelessly walking , we finally stopped in front of a clearing , left unharmed by the demonic spells of the Shadows.Selena and I managed to go through the defensive barrier they had cast , only because we were good hearted individuals...We were wandering around , without really having a certain aim.Two white coated men came to us asking :
" - Who are you young fellows ? What are you doing here?
- We ... uh ...actually we..."
A man comes out saying :
" I'll take it from here gentlemen "
Wait , this voice sounds pretty familiar to me ... It's the man that banished Cambria back in the woods the other night !
" I've seen you before" I shouted ...
- " Well young man I know you did...Come in ... I'll explain everything to you " then he invited us to get into his small house with stone walls and moss covering its walls...
Selena took the speech :
- " Listen we ....
- I know everything young lady , you don't need to tell me anything ...
- What do you know ?
-The Alliance has been taken ... As for this boy's mother.The old lady you spoke to... I know everything ...
-How is it possible you know all of this stuff ? And how did you beat Cambria that night ? " I asked impatiently ...
- " My name is Ranulf The Sage ... I have been living here since the foundation of Mages Hollow.Over the years , I have practiced exorcism and conjuring ... Dealt with evil spirits and demonic souls.I'm not a priest ... I'm a Sage.I was born with my powers ... I only knew a little about the Alliance's protocole ... Not that I was interested in joining them.Today they fell weak and defeated ... Well sure enough I'm still on full power ... I have always seeked revenged ... I wanted to punish the Dark Forces for all the people they murdered ... I just wasn't strong enough ... We used to live in Mages Hollow Metropolis ...
-What do you mean by << we >>" asked Selena intriguingly ...
"- My family and I ... They all burned in the house when the Shadows ravaged our habitats and destroyed our homes ... My kids , my wife , they burned to death.And I am here today to bring the Black Coated bastards to justice.They have to pay for their deeds ...
- We have the same enemy Ranulf ... If you help us unveil the old lady's riddle we have a chance of defeating them ...
- What do you need to know ?
- The Legendary Waterfalls ... We have to get to them as soon as possible ...
- Do you even know how risky it is?A bunch of youngsters breaching the waterfalls ? Facing their darkest fears ? I Don't think so...
- We are ready to take the risk Ranulf ... It's the only way to save our family...And help you avenge yours ...
- So when do we leave ? "
Ranulf was guiding us to the waterfall's location.We travelled for hours and hours , relentlessly walking and walking ... The night was as black as darkness , the moon was starting to fade , the stars were loosing their flicker ... The Shadows had an advantage.A big step further than us.We were meant to change the game's income ... We had to switch the cards ...
We finally made it to our destination ... We were tired as hell ...
Ranulf declared :
" I'm afraid I cannot go any further.I deal with dark energy ... That amount of positive force around the waterfalls can be lethal to me...You will have to continue on your own...I will be waiting here.
And remember :
You have to reach to the bottom of your hearts to find the strength you need to get past your fears ... "
Selena and I held hands , got closer to the waterfalls.Looking at each other's eyes...Her white skin and blonde hair was light to me ... I felt boosted ... Along all of this I could hear her think :
" Those brown eyes and fair body are all I need to keep up ... "
Our hands split up , each of us crossed the waterfalls ... We were fading behind their water torrents ... The best , was yet to come ...
